I've read before that pink eyeshadow is not a good shade for your eye for some reason- is this true, and if so why?

It's not good because you look like a prostitute and random people will come up to you and punch you in the eye.

Well .. It can make you look like you have pink eye or an eye infection. I would go with a brown or blue or green... Natural things.

pink can look just as adorable as a neutral or tan eyeshadow. it just depends on your outfit! if you're wearing a cute pink top, go ahead and wear pink eyeshadow. just don't put it on all the way up to your eyebrow!

it depends on the shade. light pink shadow is ok, but dark pink makes your eye look weird. if you have light skin i wouldn't wear pink shadow at all.

Yes i think that is true because it atracts people to the eye shadow instead of the eye. Of you wear more mild or milder tones on your eyes people will notice the color of your eyes as being very beautiful.

well a bright pink makes it look bloodshot but a lighter and more subtle pink is good for people with a lighter skin tone

pink can make your eye look blood shot, allergentic or drunk depending on the shade...lighter colors look best because it brings out the natural beauty you have to show and natural is the new trend also...stay away from bright pinks unless your wearing such a good outfit and you feel like you can pull it off

well it sorta makes your eye look blood shot and that isnt a good thing or, it cold look like you have pink eye like the infection that makes your eye raw and puffy. lol well any ways you could use it but i would be very careful on choseing what shade you use, like a darker pink is wut i would use but not too dark it will look red which would probably look horrible. my friend uses a hot pink eyeliner and it looks pretty good but i would make sure you blend it with the rest of you eye make up, eye shadow and stuff, which i would use a light pink, and enless you dont need any i would defently use mascara.

yeah..well bright pink -- lighter shades arent bad if you blend them with other shades -- and bright pink DOSENT work well because, just look at it -- its pretty bad..its kinda like blue eyeshadow..its just not right most of the time

yea it true because pinks don't really look good unless you blend it in with another color like browns are nice and you can also do your eye shadow by tha color if your eyes tha have certin colors that bring your eyes out!!!

Well.. some pink eyeshadow looks just horrable on most people. And then some people can pull it off. It makes your eyes look smaller and like its red. If you mix a pink with a darker color its fine but not just pink alone. Light pink isnt a good color but if you wear like a darker shade then it looks better! ♥ // ex_oh
