she probably already knows what she wants to do. if it is safe, let her do it and join her. her parents will probably tell you what time they want her in bed. if they dont tell you, ask them. if you want to get paid a certain amount, tell the parents ahead of time: "I charge____ an hour" I usually don't do that because I don't want to seem greedy. Most of the time the parents give me way more than i think I deserve. If you need to get her settled down, before bedtime read her a book or let her watch a movie (as long as its appropriate) make sure she uses the restroom before she goes to bed. most of this stuff could change, you need to talk to the parents to ask them the questions. and if you are worried about being alone, make sure your parents are home and you would be able to reach them if you were to need them. and once the kid is in bed you can turn on the tv so its not so quiet and creepy if you are scared. if you have any other questions, im me at purplegirl92789. hope I helped, and good luck

Ask the kids mom. She /he shouldn't be real hard to entertain. They like almost everything at that age. :)

Ok first off don't worry about what time she is to be in bed because normally the parents will tell you. The pay varies from person to person so I can't really guess at how much you will get and for the final problem play games with her or watch a movie or read her a story. Considering I babysit all the time for younger ones I can say they love it when you spend time with them. Oh and one more thing try to have fun. Love feedback.

Ask the parents what they want you to do and spend the rest of the time playing games with her.

Ask her parents about her regular bedtime so that you can be sure she's going to bed at the right time. Take her to the park for an hour before it gets dark so she can play because 4 yr olds have a lot of energy. Bring her back to your house and feed her a snack if she's hungry, and before she goes to bed maybe have her color in a coloring book or have her paint( if that's alright with you) or something. If you have any games suitable for 4 yr. olds play those games with her. Also, maybe you could play with dolls or something. If you can't think of anything, ask her parents what she likes to do for fun. Hope i helped.

Bedtime-between 8 & 9
Pay- somewhere between $5 & $7 an hour
get to bed- Tell story, tell her something that will make her go to bed. if she says she misses Mommy and Daddy, just tell her "they'll be home when you get up. the quicker you go to bed, the quicker you will get to see them"
Stuff to do- watch TV/Movie, play games, read stories

the parents will most likely give you a bedtime for her. if not, just when she gets tired. also, just play games with her. watch a movie or play outside. read a book or do a puzzle. im sure she will have a lot of toys and such to play with.

she probably should go to bed around 8 or 830 but her mother/fatehr will probably tell you what time. You can also put on a movie, even though that is kind of "lazy" But sometimes the kids likes that. You can also play dolls, barbies, color, play dress up, things like that.Maybe give her a "makeover" like a fake one and play house and ;et her be the mommy or play work let her be the boss ansd boss you aroound but still keep in control
play dough always wroks,
board games....hope i help!

ok i have 3 brothers so here are my suggestions...

if you want her to be asleep early...right when you get there play outside with her, have her run around like crazy until it gets dark...she will fall asleep on her own in front of the tv before 9..which leaves you two hours to do what you want.

lets say she isnt the outdoors type of girl...even taking her on a walk will tire her out and make her fall asleep early.

play with her toys...play whatever she wants to play IF she promises to listen to you.

what my dad used to do when i was little...was he would turn the clocks ahead to like 1AM when really it was like 7...and he would trick me into thinking it was really late! so at 9pm (when its dark) and if shes really wound up...do that trick.

for 4 hours..it depends on the people but i would say you should definately get at least $20 if you figure $5 per hour ...it would be nice if they give you more...

i wouldnt hint at money or anything...talk about how great she was when the parents get home..and maybe that will get them to give you extra $$$
