I'm going to prom on the 23rd but I haven't gotten my period yet. I think I might get my period by that date. It makes me worry because I don't want to screw my new dress up with blood. It's not tight at the bottom, it's like a layered skirt that's kind of full looking. I'm going to be out from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM for the dinner and the festive events or whatever, should I use pads or tampons? Pads are kind of gross, they make me uncomfortable because I'm afraid they'll move, but if I wear tampons I'm not sure if I'll remember to even change them during prom and I don't want to risk TSS. What should I do?

WEAR A TAMPON! You will be way more comfortable dancing. wear a watch ( a nice one) and set the timer on it. Tell your date you will be right back when the watch goes off.PUT ME ON U'RE FRIENDS LIST AND TELL ME IF IT WORKS

Hey! I would wear a tampon. You'd only have to change it 3ish times, saying that you change it every 5 hours. Dont worry about getting TSS though. If you're seriously worried about remembering to change, perhaps you could ask a trusted close (girl) friend to remind you.

wear a tampon and don't moan about it. also, you only need to change a tampon every 7 hours, not every five bloody minutes. and you can only get TSS from wearing a tampon for over 15 hours, or using it when your nowhere near your period. have a nice (blood free) day

omg ... you wont fricken get tss in like a day. stupid. no. wear what you want. and if you 4get ur stupid... theres bathrooms in both places, the dinner and the prom ... so you can change whichever you wear when you need to.

def. tampons..just change it like every 4 hours or so i think youl remember..i mean itl be the first time you get it...and TSS is kinda rare but it doesnt mean you wont get it, maybe shove tampies in your purse and everytime you go in your purse you will see them and be like oh yeah gotta shove a new tampon inside of my vagina!! okay well good luck and have fun at the dance..thing!

I say you should definetly use tampons and leave a bunch in your purse. So everytime you look inside your purse you see them and you'll remember that you need to change it. Good luck hun. Dont worry about it. Your period shouldn't be such a big stress. Have fun at the prom!

Well im sure if you would use a tampon youll eventually have to go to the bathroom because you'll have drinks and stuff so you could change it then. But i think pads are easyest just because you know when to change lol. But if its open you can always wear like a short spandex underneath just to slow it down alittle if it's heavy.

I would try a tampon. Bring a cute purse with you, and bring a few extra tampons in there. Trust me, you'll remember to change it. Maybe you could tell a friend to remind you every 4 hours or so to check and see if you need to change it. If you change the tampon every 8 hours or less, you don't have to worrry about TSS. xo
