advice

i want to unlink one of my screenames, but when i go to the edit menu on AIM where it told me to. it said click on unlink screename. but i dont have that as an option. wat can i do?

Umm, I don't use the latest version of AIM, rather the 'ancient' version (because it's more practical). For my version you have to go to My AIM (up on the top bar) -- manage linked screennames.

Just out of curiosity, where did you get my advice column? I haven't used it in over a year (actually 6 june, '05), but I found I had a question in my email inbox. Was it linked on a site? If so, could you say which one? I'm not sure if it's an outdated address of my site I have now (delune.net).

Where can I download a free animator? Don't say Animation Shop 3, 'cause I've downloaded and expired my time. i don't have the money to buy an animator, so if you could please give me exact links because Google isn't being helpful right now. Thanks!

How can I make a really cool background or layout WITHOUT adobe photoshop, or paintshop pro? All i have is the crappy paint that comes with our computer. I can't download new products because our computer is like 10 years old.

Hey! It's unfortunate you don't have an advanced graphic program, but MS Paint (which you have) can be used. If you know how to change the colors (double click the colors on the tool pallet), then you can create something with more than, I think, 28 colors. It would take more time and hard work than on something more avdanced to create graphics, but yours wont be, shall I say, 'crappy'. I know you could make pixel-ish graphics very nicely on paint, because it is more basic and you can edit 'the little things' more nicely.

You could go to the mall or to a movie with friends... or, here's something you could do when you're bored out of your mind:
Get a group of friends, and each have 1 sheet of paper. Then split up and each go to random people and be like "I have a ___, do you want to trade it for something?" And then after a hour, all meet up again and see who has the best thing. You could go from a sheet of paper, to a euro (or dollar...) to some candy to a broom to a book to __ and so on. Hey, it's fun AND you get free stuff out of it. =)

ok... so i have been playing defense (soccer) for awhile... almost a year or even two... but i have been playing soccer since i was in 3rd grade and im a sophmore in highschool now... i have played every position before mostly mid... but i have a game sunday and my friend's friend came to one of our practices and told my friend that i have a nice kick, like shot on net... and my friend told me i should forget D and play mid but the thing is my couch wants me to stay back... i don't know what to do... should ask my couch or should i stay on D... i rate pretty high

Hey! I think that you should stay in D if you really like it. But if you like Mid just the same, then Considering you have an awesome shot, Mid would be the best choice. I guess what I'd do is think of all the pros and cons of both positions and then which ever's pros seem to outweigh the cons is most likely the position to choose.

I'm going to prom on the 23rd but I haven't gotten my period yet. I think I might get my period by that date. It makes me worry because I don't want to screw my new dress up with blood. It's not tight at the bottom, it's like a layered skirt that's kind of full looking. I'm going to be out from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM for the dinner and the festive events or whatever, should I use pads or tampons? Pads are kind of gross, they make me uncomfortable because I'm afraid they'll move, but if I wear tampons I'm not sure if I'll remember to even change them during prom and I don't want to risk TSS. What should I do?

Hey! I would wear a tampon. You'd only have to change it 3ish times, saying that you change it every 5 hours. Dont worry about getting TSS though. If you're seriously worried about remembering to change, perhaps you could ask a trusted close (girl) friend to remind you.

Hey! I think you should deffinately tell your partner that you believe you may be pregnant. then have a pregnancy test.

Next Year I'm supposed to be moving to California from New York with some of my friends. We planned everything so far and even decided what school we would go to. The thing is....I'm scared out of my mind. Something in the back of my head keeps telling me not to go, or you'll never make it, nobody ever makes it out of this crap hole. THe Thought of moving all the way across county and realize I won't have my old friends with me, no family around, I live in the county and we are moving to an Urban place. What Should I do? I'm scared of big changes but I know someday I'm going to have to move out on my own. Is there anything I can do to overcome this fear and just go across county? Or should I wait it out and stay in NY for a few years before I make a big move? I'm so confused! please help.

I think you should deffinately try it. You'll have the chance to come back to NY if you don't enjoy it in CA.
Moving and everything is scary if you've never done it... but trust me, once you do it, it's not. I've moved 6 times (So far) in my life and after a few weeks since you've moved, You adapt and begin to feel right at home.

My older sister wanted to know if a snake can grow it's head back if it gets cut off. She thinks that she heard that somewhere, but she's not sure. Hey, my family might move from here in Wisconsin to Florida. I want to sooo bad for the weather. But I just can't leave all my friends here. i love em all to death. And my best friend and I are really close and it will be so hard for me to leave her, and everyone else. How can I not miss her so much??

Hey! I've been moving all my life... 6 times actually. You'll always miss her, but you can always write her letters over snail mail... email eachother... and the time difference is nothing. You could talk to eachother on instant messanger at least a few times a week =) Also maybe you could work it out that you could talk to her on the phone once a week... or every other week. And maybe she could even come visit you- or you could visit her once a year! =) Hope I helped.

I was babysitting at a place over an hour away (I was spending the night there too), and I was charging my cell before I left, and I guess I forgot it was on and charging, so I had left it at home when I left (accidentaly) and it was charging until about noon the next day... maybe later, so if I estimated it would have been from 4p.m to maybe 12:30p.m, not quite 24 hours, but about 3 and a half hours less.

2 questions...
Is it bad to leave you cell on when you're charging (my cell will still charge)
And is it bad to keep it charging for so long (even if it was on accident) Thanks!

1) It's perfectly fine. Your cell phone will still charge if it's turned on. =D
2) It's actually fine to keep it charging for so long. It automatically stops charging beyond a certain point. I've done the same many times... with cell phones... digital cameras... and so on, and it had no effect on them.

this girl that says im her best friend always talks about my other friends behind their back, so i tell them because i dont think its right for her to do that. The other day she was talking about one of my friends named danielle, and so i told danielle this weekend and dnaielle said that my suppose to best friend called me a spoiled brat and a bitch and said that she doesnt hang out wtih me that much because i act stuck up .. but she is always calling me. OK, this girl who's talking behind people's backs is NOT your friend. But I think you know that. You are right; it's not right for her to do that. Just as you mentioned, she talks behind your back as well as everyone else's.
I suggest that you talk to her. Tell her that you think that what she is doing is awful. Then tell her you can't talk to her any longer.
I've had 'friends' just like her in the past, and I know from experience, it's best to let go of them as soon as you can- or else you could get hurt.
