Next Year I'm supposed to be moving to California from New York with some of my friends. We planned everything so far and even decided what school we would go to. The thing is....I'm scared out of my mind. Something in the back of my head keeps telling me not to go, or you'll never make it, nobody ever makes it out of this crap hole. THe Thought of moving all the way across county and realize I won't have my old friends with me, no family around, I live in the county and we are moving to an Urban place. What Should I do? I'm scared of big changes but I know someday I'm going to have to move out on my own. Is there anything I can do to overcome this fear and just go across county? Or should I wait it out and stay in NY for a few years before I make a big move? I'm so confused! please help.
BeautifulMadness answered Wednesday April 6 2005, 7:08 pm: I think staying in NY for now would be a good idea, but don't stay there for years or you'll never move. Stay there for like a year if you can. Get your friends to experience life by themselves themself, and then tell you how it is. You could always have friends to stay overnight for a couple of nights (in your current house or a new one) and stuff and have a sort of 'trial day' of how it would be for you all to live together.
Blessed Be,
