Nope, they don't affect kissing/making out. If the person who you are kissing has braces too, then there is a possibility that you two make cut yourselves but it rarely happens.

Well... i never kissed with my braces but as long as the guy/girl doesnt have braces it should be fine. It shouldnt make a dif. either.

Naw not really... the guy said it kind of feels weird at first.. but it's not that really bad.. I don't have braces but a friend of mine did and she kissed my guy friend. Its not like they are gonna lick your teeth it should be alright.. well wish you friend luck for me with the braces

While there are many rumors and jokes about kids' braces getting stuck while they were kissing - on TV and in movies, this is not exactly true. It might be; but still is extremely rare. I know people who had braces and kissed, and their braces never got stuck and nothing else happened so I think your friend will be ok. ♥ Laura
