AdviceAskMe answered Saturday April 2 2005, 8:49 pm: If you are worried about it, then go see a doctor. But otherwise, it depends on your body. It is OK.
sh0w3rg3lbaby answered Saturday April 2 2005, 2:40 pm: Yes, that is very possible. Some girls only get their period every 6-8 weeks. It just depends on your body. But if you're really concerned you should go see your doctor. IT shouldn't be anything serious though.
dreamingkat answered Thursday March 31 2005, 9:33 pm: Like most everyone has said, yes, it's normal to have irregular periods, although you will want to mention it to your gynecologist when you start seeing one (when you become sexually active or turn 18 - whatever comes first).
A detail to note is that you have 2 ovaries (one on each side). Usually, they take turns. If you are consistently having a period every other month, it's possible that only one of your ovaries is ovulating (releasing an egg).
EJ47 answered Thursday March 31 2005, 9:31 pm: Everyones menstrual... schedule, I suppose, is different. It woul dbe perfectly normal if you had your period every other month. In fact that'd probably be better than having cramps every month and dealing with PMS >.o <3 EJ [ EJ47's advice column | Ask EJ47 A Question ]
xOtWiXi answered Thursday March 31 2005, 8:54 pm: Well, everyone's body is different, so it might just be. Some other factors that affect it is if you just got your period [it can be irregular for up to 2 years!] or if your sexually active. It most likely is normal, but you should tell your mom anyway and tell your regular doctor just so they know. Hope I've Helped! [ xOtWiXi's advice column | Ask xOtWiXi A Question ]

gakkuhideto answered Thursday March 31 2005, 7:59 pm: Sometimes it's irregular, especially if you have just started. And sometimes it's just really light and we don't notice it. If it's been going on for a while, though, I suggest talking to a doctor. [ gakkuhideto's advice column | Ask gakkuhideto A Question ]

KateStar1011 answered Thursday March 31 2005, 7:30 pm: Hey!
Yes, it's completely possible. It just depends on the reproductive organs, and the way that the whole menstral cycle works in that certain body. Especially when you are a younger person, you're cycle tends to be off-rate. Not- regular. She may want to look into her cycle with a doctor, and maybe they could give her something similar to birth-contol to help her get on a complete normal cycle repetition.
Otherwise...I think it'd be okay.
sshelbyy answered Thursday March 31 2005, 7:30 pm: YES. Its totally normal when your first starting to get your period, and maybe even for a few years after that. Sometimes you may even not have it for 2 or 3 monthes. [ sshelbyy's advice column | Ask sshelbyy A Question ]
Karen answered Thursday March 31 2005, 7:27 pm: Yes, it's possible for someone to only have their period every other month. If someone just started their period, their period will be irregular and it may come a few times a year or every other month. It will change eventually but it's possible.
