Karen answered Sunday March 27 2005, 10:40 am: Yes, it's normal for a 15 year old girl to not have her period yet. Girls develop at different times and some get their first period at an early age and others get their first period as late as the age of 18. Don't worry, you'll get it eventually. It's not possible for a girl to not get their period at all.

gessyka answered Sunday March 27 2005, 10:03 am: No it's not possible for someone to not get their period at all.. You'll get your period. Some people don't get it until later, it's perfectly normal. It will come at the right time, don't worry. =)
rainbowcherrie answered Sunday March 27 2005, 10:01 am: 1. Yes, that's completely normal. Some people don't start until their early twenties. If you haven't started your period by the time you are 16 then you have something known as Primary Amenorrhoea. This isn't a serious condition or anything, it's just a term. Primary Amenorrhoea is caused by many things including having an eating disorder, intense sport, obesity, drugs such as anti depressants and serious illness. There is no treatment for Primary Amenorrhoea, you just have to wait until your period comes.
2. There is a condition called Turners Syndrome. This is when a woman is born with only on X chromosome. Turners Syndrome means that the woman has no ovaries so menstruation cannot take place.
xxxxxx answered Sunday March 27 2005, 9:03 am: Yes its normal to not have your period. You're just one of the few who haven't gotten it yet. Don't think that it's genetic, and don't think theres something wrong, because my mom got her period when she was 16, and I got mine when I was 11 (big difference). As long as your body is developing, you're fine. As for not getting your period in a lifetime, I know there's certain cancers and disorders that can cause that, but women don't not get their period for no reason. MyPainIsReal answered Sunday March 27 2005, 8:34 am: 1. That is quite normal. All girls mature at different ages. If you don't get it before you are 17 or 18, you may want to see the doctor. Sometimes if a girl does not get her period by the age of 16 then something is wrong. I highly doubt you'll have that problem though.
2. If that were possible it's about a 1 in a million chance of it happening. All girls get periods unless something with their body occurs that they can't.
XxnickixX answered Sunday March 27 2005, 7:10 am: for your 1st question then yes it is normal for a 15/16 year old to not have had there period yet. every grows physically in there own time, so dont worry.

xlostangelx answered Sunday March 27 2005, 2:01 am: yes it is normal....for right now. if you dont get your first period by the time you're 16, definately see a doctor. and if you dont get your period in your whole life, that means you have a problem and you can not have children. look up into it. its a good thing to know about, especially being a woman. SweetStarx89 answered Sunday March 27 2005, 1:59 am: hey it should be normal for a girl not to have her period because like me i only got it once and that was back in october and i'm 15 now...if you are really active with sports then you usually get it late like me i skate so i'm always moving but i stopped and then i did marching band and winterguard and once again i'm active so thats probably it. Well sometimes it's possible for a person to not have their period at all but then at means you can't be pregnant and there could be something wrong...i'm not saying there is with you but if you dont get it by 18 i believe you should see a doctor. Or you can be one of the lucky ones and only/will get it once every so months. hope i helped! take care! x3 SweetStar. [ SweetStarx89's advice column | Ask SweetStarx89 A Question ]
Sherry answered Sunday March 27 2005, 1:55 am: No it is not possible for a girl to not get her period. Periods start different for a lot of people. Some people start as young as 9 and some about 18 or 19. Our bodys develop at different times and theres no set age where you have to have your period. So you dont have to worry, just be happy because having your period isint the greatest thing in the world. lol. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
