concealer-covers up stuff (like zits, bags, blackheads, ect,)

Foundation- put all over your face makes your complection look better

Powder-usually a form of foundation

foundation IS powder lol. Well maybe not, its just to even out your skin tone. Concealer is for acne, it conceals them or cover them up so it looks like you skin. Powder can be anything! And for me i use concealer and foundation if this helps any! hope this helps!

Foundation is the liquid makeup that you put on first.
Concealer is a stick that you can use for covering pimples, bags under eyes, etc.
Powder is just the makeup that comes in the little compact container that you use either over your foundation, for extra coverage, or by itself.

But, since you have bad acne, you should try using cleanser, instead of clogging it up even more. Good Luck!
I hope all that helps!

Foundation is what you use to even the overall tone of your face.

Concealer is used to "conceal" undereye circles and blemishes.

Powder is what you use to "set" the foundation and concealer so it has staying power.

Since you have acne, I strongly advise you use minimal makeup. A lot of brands contain oil and chemicals that can irritate the skin.

But if you must, I'd advise you buy oil-free foundation that has sheer coverage that EXACTLY matches your skin tone, a concealer that is 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone, and powder the same shade as your skin.

A foundation that I use which is great is Jane Stay Calm Foundation found at your local walmart for around 4 bucks. Apply with fingers for medium coverage, but I'd suggest those triangular sponges for a sheer application.

As far as concealer goes, I don't use it at all, but I hear that Cover Girl stick concealer works well.

As for powder, I like to use Sonia Kashuk's loose powder. It's found at target and is a little more pricey (around 7 dollars I think?).

If you want tips on how to "hide" blemishes, drop a note in my inbox.

Foundation is a cream like substance that you use as a base to the rest of your make up. You choose one that matches your skin tone. Concealer is used to hide blemishes and spots, it also matches your skin tone. Powder is used to prevent shininess, set your base or just as a finishing touch. It can be worn with or without foundation underneath and you can either use translucent or a colour that matches your skin. If you wanted to use full make up then yes, you would use all of them at once but you probably wont need to until you are older and your skin starts to age. As you have acne, it probably wouldn't help to use all three but if you do then make sure you remove all of it every night.

concealers mostly for individual spots. Foundations to give you an all over even skin tone, and powder i use to get rid of shinyness. Anyways I had acne too, but I went to my doctor, and now I only get a few pimples now and then. If you wanna know the stuff I use, write me back if you want.

you can use all three at once but the differnce is concealer hides pimples and it is basically coverup but foundation and powder just add color to your face. I would suggest going to a dermetologist and asking if you should use proactive it is what my cousins use to get away acne.

Well the differences have all ready been mentioned..and it was also said that they make acne worse, but when you wear it, just make sure you wash ALL of it off before you go to bed. Or it does get worse.

Sorry, I didnt really answer the question. Just thought I'd make you aware of it.

You could use all three at once. You don't have to. But I don't reccomend just using foundation or just concealer. Using just powder should be okay though. That's what I do. Concealer is normally used under your eyes to cover up the dark circles or even acne. Foundation just makes you skin glow more and look even (it really helps a lot with acne.) Powder just takes away the shine and makes the oils on your skin totally disapear! Using all three can make your skin look amazing! Since you have acne though, make sure you wash all the makeup off real good so it won't affect your skin! If you don't wash it well, you'll just break out more. You can still use it, but you should use a makeup remover.

♥ Always,
Maria

*foundation evens out your skintone
*concealer-some kinds work on acne, most are for undereye circles
*powder gets rid of shine or oil
i would not recommend wearing any of those if u have acne. it will only make it worse (trust me!) <3

Concealer is a type of cream/solid that you put over your face or zits so it will "hide" and conceal it. Foundation is a liquid or powder that you put on first and it justs gives you that natural, flawless look. Powder is a body that you put on when you are all finished with your make up and it helps your face not have that oily look and shine. You put on the concealor first, then the foundation, and then the powder.

By the way, some brands that have good foundations, concealers, and powders are Maybelline and Cover Girl.
