Casual Sex
How can it be that you can have casual sex? I am a virgin and some of my friends have had sex. Those who have also have casual sex. I just don't understand how you can have sex without having a comitment. Doesn't it still end up being a comitment because someone will want a relationship. It's natural for humans to want to have a relationship. So why is it that people can have casual sex with different people without a more serious relationship??

Easy. They don't have emotional feelings for the person ther haveing sex with.So it becomes casual. And i guess it does make it a kinda of a relationship since they shared there bodys with each other but still not everyone thinks like that.

There is no way in the world that having 'casual' sex will equal eternal or even temporary love. People who have casual sex, are sluts, they do it with anybody, is that not a slut? People who are in love and have sex are more responsible with their bodies and do make a real commitment. People who just do it don't care for relationships. They just go for the sex. I'm not sure why people don't wait, like a lot of little 13 or 14 year old girls who don't care to wait. They just want to do it and be able to take pride in it, but soon they will head down the path of regret. When I'm old, I'll want to be able to say, "I had sex the smart way." Meaning I had sex with people who I were in love with. I am glad that you brought this topic up, its pretty important.

well its also natural for humans to have their desires fullfilled and single people just pretty much want to have sex at the time and yes humans are natural to wanting relationships but sometimes people dont want one at the moment you know?

Hey! everyone has their own opinion! sex is a very confusing subject. to some people it can be one of the most important decisions in their lifetime and to others it doesnt mean a thing. it depends on many things. some people have sex for fun and others do it for love. some people just do it to rebel and others do it for affection or attention. you may be confused because you havent experienced it yet. you have a great outlook and theres not many people who take sex seriously. sometimes people get clouded by the media or their peers. you'll know when your ready and you know what your looking for. just becareful and make sure u find someone on the same page or you will get hurt! keep up the good out look and stay strong! respect other peoples sexuality and they will respect yours!

Some men are like that. They just go in on a woman, make her feel comfortable, have sex with her and after he gets bored with her, moves onto another woman. I, even at 14, stand by the marriage bed bit. If its not with your spouse, its not right.... Women however, when they have sex with a man, believe its a sign that the other is interested (which it is!!!) but then as said before, there are those bastards who just use women. Dear Casual Sex, Your absolutely right, someone will end up wanting a relationship and its usually the woman. We have a tendancy to mistake that kind of intamacy with feelings and the man for some reason can keep everything separate. Sex releases endorphins to our brains that gives us the "glowing effect." The illusion of happiness and we want that again with that person. The man however can go from one woman to another without feeling this. Unless however he actually does have feelings for one in particular, then he's the one who wants the relationship. Even though people can go through life doing this, I suggest to you to wait for that special man or you will be living with a lot of empty feelings and your esteem in yourself will lower. Luann

I believe sex should be with someone you hope to spend the rest of your life with. Not a casual anyone can do it with anyone thing. Sort of takes the specialness out of it doesn't it?
But,I guess most people don't feel that way about it anymore. I suppose they think it makes them all grown up...I don't really know.

Sex feels good. It is also addictive. Your body desires the touch of another person. I agree with you that a commitment should be involved, but sometimes the need for touch overpowers the need to wait for the right person. It's about putting the wants of your body before the needs of your heart.

Peoples minds work in diferent ways, therefore not everyone is going to want a relationship till much later in life. Can you really see people waiting till they're 30 odd to have sex?
I think not.
Alot of people just want sex for now then later they'll consider having a relationship with another person.
Other people wouldn't mind having a relationship but can't find the right person so for now they just go round having sex.
I've never understood how people can have sex without commitment my self.
