carnival dance

Question Posted Monday March 21 2005, 8:19 pm

Hi, I'm going to a carnival dance and I'm not sure on what to wear. The weather is in the high forties to low fifties, but the place of the dance is EXTREMELY HOT.

Is this a good outfit:

White tank, black miniskirt, and pink tweed heels

OR .. ANY SUGGESTIONS? AND HAIR SUGGESTIONS? I'll rate high for appropriate answers.

Sounds cute, all you need to do is to match your heels, accesorize in pink so it will flow together. Maybe even have black jewelry on. For the hair, maybe half down half up? Straight down? messy bun? Straight with a few curls around it? cute pony with cute lil pink or black flowers in it?? << that would be cool!
have fun!

I think that outfit would be tremendouesly...PERFECT!! Lol...and as for the hair, maybe crimp it or curl it a little bit. Dont make it too complicated, it aint your wedding, you know what I mean? Or maybe put it in a messy bun? You can also add some cute bracelets or a really cool ankle bracelets!! If you're gonna use earrings, I suggest you dont use the hoops. Anyway, I hope I helped!

I think you should go with you outfit idea, but you may want to try a shorter heel or wear platforms. Since it is a dance I am asuming that you will be dancing and heels, while they may look sexy when you first walk in the door, can become a serious issue. Also you may want to bring a small jacket. A wind-breaker or a hoodie would be very appropriate just in case the temperature drops a bit. I hope my advice helped and have fun at your dance.

Yes, I think what you choose is cute!! Maybe the white tank you could change it to a different color like pink or something. If not then add some accesories like a pink purse or braclet. What ever you want. For your hair you could scrunch it. You could also curl it all of put it half way up. If you dont want to curl it then just straighten it. It will be cute! x0 ` __

Scrunch your hair and leave it down or put it up in a ponytail and scrunch it. If you put your hair up maybe put a pink ribbon in it to go with your shoes.

I think what you chose is adorable!
You could keep it like that or add an extra splash of pink to it like change the white tank for a pink tank or add some pink accesories.
Also you could put a head band on and curl your hair or if you have curly hair already straighten it.
Hope I Helped

That's a good outfit, but I would probably wear a shirt with color. Maybe a bright pink? Love the choice of heels! For hair...I like the half up half down with curls hanging down. Easily done with a curling iron. Or Straight hair...with random curls...I love that!!

i like the outfit choice you made! but i think that it is gonna be REALLY hard to dance in heels. but if YOU want to wear it, go ahead. if they're pink, though, i suggest you add more pink to your outfit to go with your shoes, or pick some black or white shoes. add some sparkly clips to your hair (maybe pink) and make it into a half-ponytail with your hair going wild at the top. if it's gonna be TOO hot for that, though, then just make sure you have your hair up in a high up-do, making sure it looks really cute. i hope i helped! ~*MaRi*~

Little_Miss_Cant_Be_Wrong answered Monday March 21 2005, 9:08 pm:
I think the outfit sounds cute, you just might want to swap the pink heels for black ones. Or...wear a cute, tight pair of dark jeans with the white tank and pink shoes. I think that would be adorable. Also, if you're going to be dancing alot, a mini skirt might not be the most comfortable thing to wear. I know when I am dancing, I don't want to have to worry about what my skirt is doing or what is showing. If you are like that, opt for the jeans instead, and keep the rest of the outfit. You may want to wear a cute little jacket (with either outfit) just so that you aren't cold walking into the dance, or walking out, and it will still look cute. Accent your outfit with pink things, to tie it in with your shoes, like a pink ribbon belt, or pink dangly earrings, or something like that. I'd wear your hair all down, or half down/half up...don't put it all up. Give it alot of body, and kind of let it be natural, so it has a cute casual, maybe tousled look.
Good luck, and I hope this helped a little bit!
Have a TON of fun!!!

This is my opinion so I'm sorry if it doesn't come to your liking, but I don't think the pink tweed heels would match with your black and white outfit. But I am liking that your choosing an outfit that you'll feel comfortable in due to the hot temp!

What I'd suggest is match your clothes, top priority. If you choose to wear the white tank with the black miniskirt, wear shoes to match your black and white theme. I'm not sure if it's a formal dance, but if it's pretty casual, even some really clean Adidas black and white striped sneaks would look great with that outfit.

But again, for matching, if you want to wear those pink heels, pick clothes that are along the same hue of the shoes (light or dark). Like a white tank with a pink skirt or if your opting for dark, go for darker colors. Don't clash opposite colors with a bright color that doesn't match.

For hair, I think putting your hair half up and half down would be cute. Curl the tips of the hair and you're set!

I'm not sure I helped, but I hope I was of some assistance! If you want more input don't hesitate to ask :)

That outfit sounds really cute! I think you should wear that! And for your hair, I would just leave it down. Or if it's long enough, do pretty curls. I'm really bad when it comes to doing hair. Sorry!
