hey, for ela we have to bring in a poem or song lyrics that we like and read them to the class...anyone have any suggestions? (they have to be appropriate for school obviously) thanks!

It all depends on what you like, but I personally love Smile Empty Soul lyrics and some greenday lyrics are clever as well.. I always look for stuff thats a little more tricky than just the usual

"The World At Large"
Ice-age heat wave, can't complain.
If the world's at large, why should I remain?
Walked away to another plan.

Got to the door and again, I couldn't stop.

The days get shorter and the nights get cold.
I like the autumn but this place is getting old.

They both seem to make me feel a little less insane.

I had to do this last year, I used the Jessica Simpson one, only because I couldn't really think of any school appropriate songs that I liked. What kind of music are you into? Try looking into some of those. I REALLY like the Bethany Dillon song, it is like WOW! I also really like the Rascal Flatts one!
