no phone
im in 8th grade and me and my boyfried have been going out for a few months...but we dont rly talk on the phone.We talk ALOT in school but not on the phone and when we talk there is allways something to talk about..is this a bad thing that we dont rly talk on the phone?

No, not really. It's good that he talks to you at school a lot but maybe you should call him once in a while.

It's only 8th grade, so just relax and take your time. If you really want to talk on the phone, try maybe one night a week. If you talk a lot at school, finding things to talk about on the phone shouldn't be hard.
Phone or no phone, right now it's not a big deal. Just take it easy and enjoy the great friendship you seem to have going within your relationship!

No its not bad. Sometimes its harder to strike up a convo on the phone. It was hard for me and some of my past boyfriends. You just got to talk about funny things and how your day was and ect. Ask him if he was a girl for a day what would be the 1st 3 things he would do. Trust me that will get him going!! Hopefully that helps-trix

As long as it isn't effecting the relationship then no.I can relate.Neither my boyfrind or I enjoy talking on the phone.But we can IM each other for hours on end.It's just all in what you prefer.So as long as you have an alternative way to communicate it's not a big deal.

trust me i know how you feel i went out with this guy and we like never talked on the phone once or even when we saw eachother! lol The important thing is that you are able to talk to him face to face.

If you guys have such great conversation in school and everything, then you don't need to be talking to him on the phone. But if you really wannah, then tell him to call you sometime or just call and ask him what you guys had for homework or something. Then maybe you guys will talk on the phone a lot more often :)

It isn't really bad that you don't talk on the phone, but if you have his number maybe you should call him sometime if you have plenty to talk about. I bet he would be prettty happy and then he would start calling you more. =) good luck.

i dont think it is a bad thing NOT to talk on the phone with your b/f i mean i nevered talked to mine on the phone and im 13 so yea i mean if you guys needs to talk then yeah or something

it's definately not a bad thing if you talk to him alot in person. it would be nice if you talked to him once in a while on the phone when you both aren't at school to give ya'll time to talk away from school. but it's totally okay if ya'll are doing just great without talking on the phone. =)

Some people just aren't phone people. Obviously, you are one. But your boyfriend might not be. He might be super busy at home and doesn't have the time/can't multi task. The beauty of IM, you can both multi task, he won't keep saying "What?" and people sometimes say more what they mean online because it's really easy to speak you're mind when you aren't staring someone in the face or hearing the sadness in their voice.
