My friend is a horrible singer and he wants to be fameus and sing on american idol but he sucks really bad.. i dont know how to tell him

anywho if he sucks then buy earplugs and then let judges insult him there you dont have to listin to him AND he reilizes that he is a lousy singer(just in case thought keep yourself avalible)

if he sings infront of you and he asks how he did, tell him some things to encourage his dream but to make him a better singer as well. like if his pitch sucks, tell him towork on it. give him helpful critisism. that will help him and make it easier for you tell him.

just be strait foward and not 2faced. so just say >hey well u don't really have the best voice. it's gud but u suk.> just be straitforward.

he's not gonna go on american idol. he might want to, but he never will get around to doing it. Trust Me!

This is problem that seems amusing but does put your friendship at stake.
First of all, just support him if he doesn't ask for your opinion. Sooner or later someone who is not you will let him know.
If he does ask you for advice/opinions, tell him you think maybe he has talent elsewhere. Think beforehand about what his really great abilities are and tell him that you love those things about him.
And buy earplugs. ;-)

Aww hey lol! Well i think that the thing about recordin him is a great idea, but when you record him ask him do you like this voice if s/he says yes be like oh okay, if s/he says no be like oh well that is your voice! if not just be upfront about it!

Well if you guys are like best friends and you are a good friend you should be honest and tell him that he sux, but in a way thats not to hurtful. If he really is that bad you wouldnt want him to be embarissed and be mad at you for not tellling him the truth. Who knows, if he really is that bad, do u want him to become the next wiliam hung??

Just tell him sweetly that he should practice alittle more before he tries for american idol. Or if you really think he CANT sing just tell him that he should go for (what ever hes good at).

Just tell him that he's alright but you think he could be good at something else and give him examples like dancing or an author or writing poems.. etc.

Let your friend go after his dream. Support him, encourage him and be ready to be there if he fails. If he asks your honest opinion be honest, but tell him you will still support him and be there for him because thats what real friends are for.

Wow thats sucks! You should try too confront him but DON'T be mean about it just be like are you sure you wanna be a singer cause I know you love it but theres so much better things you can do that your even better at...be brave and just be nice about it...hope I helped...

You dont need to tell him. That one guy will do it for him. Simon or whatever he is pretty harsh. Dont worry about it just help support him. You shouldnt trash his dreams. Just encourage him to also do another thing for his life rather then sing.-trix

if he really is THAT bad...then he won't get very far and you shouldn't worry about it. But if you want to stop him from being hurt then just be like "hmm you can sing okay, but I think you have some better talents and youre singing is not going to get you very far, but I'm just bein honest." He might get mad at you at first, but he'll realize its for his own good later on and its to prevent him from getting hurt.
