i have this friend who is so selfish. she told me that if i went out with his guy named matt that shed hate me more then her friend olivia. i really like her as a frind..but i want your opinion..thanx

well if shes a really close friend then i wouldnt go out with him but se sounds a little controlling so i would just go out with him because if she doesnt want to see you happy than shes not a good friend, unless the guy is a jerk then shes a good friend...also you can tell people who are good to hang out with because if people have alot of enemys then they arent good to hang out with...so i hope i helped

I would just talk to her about it and ask her whats the big deal with this guy named matt and see what she holds against him and if she doesnt give a good enough reason then let her know that you will go out with him if you want to and if things work out you'd like her to be there to help you thru it and support you. She cant really be your friend if she doesn't care about your feelings too. You have to let her know that you like him too. Whenever one of my friends likes the same guy that I do, we jsut decide to kind of "back off" of him. But if he asks one of us out, we say yes, and dont fight over it. Most the time, they break up within a week and its all over. So just tell her that you like him too, and try to work out some sort of agreement or deal, so that you have no problems later on. <3 aLySsA

She has no right to do this! A friend would accept who you're going out with, even if she didn't like him. Trust me, she's not a true friend. I would go out with Matt and get a new friend. Good luck!

This girl doesn't sound like such a good friend - she already doesn't like this Olivia girl, and she's threatening to hate you too? She'll have no friends left if she isn't careful.
I say talk to her, and if you can't work something out (it sounds to me like she might be a little jealous and have a crush on this Matt guy herself), then ditch her. You don't need friends who hate you!
