Just a question about periods.

Question Posted Friday December 24 2004, 5:45 pm

Okay, well, I'm 13, and two days ago I went to the bathroom and saw some blood in my...well, underwear...and I didn't talk to my mom about it I just waited to see what happened in a little while after I changed. The next day I didn't get any more blood, I just got big amounts of discharge, and this has never ever happened to me before. My face also broke out, and I was craving chocolate and I was really tired. Does this mean I'm going to get my period soon?

yeah ... you may have already started it. Your first period is really short and very light usually. I didn't talk to my mom about it either. I had my period for 6 monthes before she found out. lol. And all those side effects are normal.

um hunny, you aren't going to start your period soon, you will most likely start it next month, because that was your period.

I think you got your period. My first one was abnormal, too. It only lasted a day. Breaking out also means you're going to get your period. You normally break out the most when you're about to get your period. Craving chocolate is good, because it help stop the cramps if you have any. Good luck!
Hope I helped!
Happy Holidays!

PinkLady4863 answered Friday December 24 2004, 6:36 pm:
it probably means you already have your period. Almost every girl starts out irregular. that means you have unsteady breaks. so you might have had it yesterday, but todayno blood at all. i have gone months without any blood, or just one day of blood and none for a longer time. don't worry this is completely normal so reast easy.
good luck hunnie,

MyPainIsReal answered Friday December 24 2004, 6:34 pm:
Yep, it does. Lucky you. You're about to enter one of the first stages of being a female teen. I crave chocolate too... it's the caffine. I've had it for three years.. haha. Anymore questions about it, let me know. You should tell your mom about it too. Oh and a lot of girls break out on their face because of it. Oh and I wouldn't expect a perfect shedule right now. It seems as if you're just getting it and it's pretty irregular during your first year or so.

Well if you already got blood, that means you already got your period. You'll have an irregular period for a year or so, so that's why it's all "weird". Your just hitting puberty now, so you're getting all the effects..breaking out..and craving! You really should tell your mom. I swear to God, I hated the fact I had to tell my mom. I thought she'd like laugh and tell all her friends or something, but she didn't. And your mom won't either. They've been through this before and they know how it feels. Just tell her. Good luck =)
