I recommend writing -- sometimes writing your feelings out can really help. Sometimes we can express our words so much better and it's such a release. Reading is a good hobby to pick up, as well. May I suggest you try talking to someone, though? You see, communication is key for any relationship. I know it may seem hard to talk to others, but when you do, you'll build great relationships with them and you won't have to be so depressed.

Surround yourself with positive people and those who believe in you. :) Best of luck to you, my friend.

I know its hard to take to people about personal things but honestly you will feel so much better once you get your problems off your chest but if you dont want to then i guess the best way to relax or zone out would be to just keep yourself calm and by that i mean just sit down put on some music loud and scream and just get all your frustration out then just take a shower get a good night's sleep and then when you wake up just think about how these problems can be solved and if that doesnt work then you really should talk to your parents or a school counsellor or even your friends or siblings or you can just write down your problems on advicenators and we will try to help you out in the best way we can.

ok..I think you should get surrounded in more positive things. Like some sport or just try to make some new friends. I mean writing down how you feel might also help to vent. But it wont help to make it go away. But you can try talkin to some new ppl. and tryin to open up. Just try to focus on more "happy" and positive things. Hope this helped. Good Luck

dont go crazy, just try to relax in your one spot like in your room, basement, anywhere that people arnt there or forget about easily my spot is my roof where i just go and think or relax or just read. so look around for where there is a spot that you can go and if there is none i recommend staying after school to help out or go to a friends house so you can keep depression out of your mind

You need to do something to rid yourself of build-up negative energy. Doing some exercise take cares of two things at once. You'll feel better physically, you'll look better and more toned if you stick with it. This will in turn help your confidence so not only will you be healthier, but you'll also feel better mentally. Dancing is great for this. It's just fun, and it's good for you as well. If you don't want to do it in public, turn on some music you can really move to! It might be just what you need.

You need to talk to a friend or actually, someone you don't know very well might help. I like talking to people I'm not that close to sometimes becuause they don't judge. They don't go into with these pre-formed opinions of you. Writing is great for ridding yourself of bad thoughts or feeling bad. You never need to worry about a pen and paper telling someone or being able to relate. It works out pretty nicely I think.

Do things for yourself. Sit in your room, light a candle and read for a while or listen to some music. You need to relax from time to time. Life's pretty hectic for all us these days, don't forget to enjoy life despite the crazyness.
Well, good luck :-)

just get out of the house and take a walk and think about other stuff. or meet up with your friends someplace and just hangout away from your house like ride your bikes somewhere or hang out at their house or go shopping!

If you're depressed, "zoning out" isnt the way to deal with it. You need to tell someone - it doesnt matter if you want to or not. If you're uncomfortable talking to people you know, maybe you could see a psychaitrist. It takes time to be able to open up to people with things such as depression, but you need to! Please work up the courage to tell someone, soon. Music is good for zoning out - but please tell someone how you're feeling. And let me know how things work out.

When I want to zone out of reality for a while, I put on Avril Lavigne, Switchfoot, Simple Plan, or Linkin Park. Music always helps.

Well, I think you should definately get some help, Depression is not normal. If your depressed, you wont just automatically get undepressed by playing a game or something. Find out if you have a physocologist at your school, if you dont, go talk to your counselor, or any teacher that is close you in private. I would suggest talking to your mom, she is the person who should be most closest to you and will try to help you the most. Also, if theres no reason for you to be depressed, ask your mom for any history of depression in your family, sometimes its not even your fault your depressed, its in your genes. Aight good luck!

Here is a brilliant suggestion. Just go take a nice bath and listen to your music to try to clear your head of w/e is bothering you. If that doesnt work then take a walk by yourself or ask a friend or family member that you can sit down with and try to talk it out. If that doesnt work. You can always start a diary or journal to release anger in writing. there are online journals too. www.livejournal.com is a good place to post and release anger ect.

Tips to zone out??? Gosh well I'd suggest trying to sort out your problems instead of running away from them by "zoning out." But I guess if you really just need a way to relax and get away from stress for a while, you could sleep...take a walk...take a hot shower...
