Those are definitely as fake as getting a free car after opening spam mail. They are made to annoy gullible people that type words like "
thx". The only offer that I have actually seen work is that "12 CDs for $1"- its quite useful.

most of those are just scammers who want your credit card numbers and stuff so they can use it don't ever give out your name or other info expecially if you don't know the company (Instant messengers and stuff are ok it's just those popups and banners)

Things that sound too good to be true usually are. Although there are, of course, some genuine prizes that can be won in life, these are a rarity. Pop-up ads that flash and proclaim you've won unbelieviable prizes are probably just tactics to get personal details or money ("okay, now you've won, we just need a $10 cheque to cover postage and packing").

No, trust me, I'm the type of loser that's tried. Have you realized even if you don't hit the target, then you still 'win'?

No you don't win things. It's usually just a trick to get spyware and things on your computer. It's a really really bad idea to click on them so don't.

no you dont really win those things....and yes, i see them at LEAST 5 times a day on websites....and I've shot the monkey and all that b4 and all it does it bring you to another website and it says "Buy this and THEN you'll get a laptop!!" .. for example: it will say "Choose one of these offers and claim your laptop!!" .. but each offer is lyk 200 bucks each .. or lyk, an offer will be to buy AOL ... that means paying money everyy month .. so you're basically paying off your laptop....

think about it...
