Is it possible to overdose on vitamin c? i mean i just bought cough drops that say each drop has 100 percent of the vitamin c i need each, is ok to take more if i need them?
MoonFisher answered Monday September 20 2004, 11:20 pm: Vitamin C is usually passed out in your urine if you take too much. Read the package. If there is no warning, I'd say you're safe. [ MoonFisher's advice column | Ask MoonFisher A Question ]

I thought I'd go ahead and add that Vitamin C is one of the FEW vitamins that you pretty much cannot OD on... other vitamins like A, any of the B's (riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, etc), D, E, and K are all capable of overdose, and some can even be deadly at a high enough level. Well here it says not to take more than it says on the package, so you might want to take a look at the package.
I asked my mom though and she told me that extra vitamin C, you just pee out, which I could have done without hearing her tell me. Anyways, you should never take something in extreme excess, even when it is something very good for you.
