Sad :(
I am a theater freak. Recently I tried out for the play 'Aladdin'. But, I found out today I didn't get the part I want, and I got a small part instead. All my friends got cool parts like the Genie, Aladdin, Jasmine, the main parts. I feel really rejecting, I've never got rejected from a part I wanted before...

like i always say with out that lil part there couldnt b a play cuz the director put that part in for a reason

just because you didn't get the part you wanted doesn't mean you have to drop out or quit the play you never know what that small part you go might have in store for u. U might even like it and start to enjoy it. follow through on whatever u are doing and never give up or say i can't.

its ok don't worrie about it just make sure u try your best in the next play your school has and just ask your friends to help u everyone can use a lil bit of help sometimes hope i help

Dont worry about it,everyone 's gonna have good and bad luck.Try and look on the bright side, you got a part even though it is small and its just another experience through theater.Sometimes you cant always get what you expected but make the best out of it.Hope i helped and dont worry maybe you'll ge tit next time just keep trying to be positive.

If you want a main part, you have to try out for a main part. Think about all the people who don't have a part at all! It takes everybody to have a good play. Just enjoy what you have now and focus on being the best character you can be. You will gain experience and be able to do a bigger part. Just keep trying.

DOnt take it to the heart... since you've never gotten rejected before this u should realize that theres nothing wrong wit u... just be happy for ur friends... & help them out with their parts... the reason why u probably didnt get the part u wanted was cuz whoever was in charge probably wanted to give other people a chance...

hmm im sorry to hear that, maybe next time u should try out for a lead role and try something new and big since u love theater soo much =D but atleast u got a part! always remember that! u could have juss not gotten a part! be grateful..there will be better parts in the future:)

I wish our school did cool plays like Aladdin. Last year we did The Wizard of Oz.I was Glinda the good witch.I wasn't a huge part but I understand why I didn't recieve the part of Dorthy you know?Mainly because of my height but thats beside the point.If you are really serious about theater try joining a class to improve your skills.I bet Julia Roberts didn't get every part she tried out for.So don't let your small part bring you down.You still are part of the production and there is always next year.I will close with a quote from Shakespear I am sure you have heard a million times....'There are no small parts,only small actors.'

dont worry about getting a small part!!everything always happens for a reason.believe me - i have been through the same thing.i started acting when i was 4 or 5.usually i had a mainpart but one year i didnt.i got so dissapointed and i saw all my castmates with these huge roles and i noticed.. maybe its just not ment to be.theres always next time.

Don't worry about. Do your best in whatever part you got and when another oppurtunity rolls around I bet you'll get it! Good Luck!! =)

You cant get the lead role everytime. Just try and make the best of your small part :) Its good that other people get a chance to have big roles too. Maybe in the next play you can get the lead role. Just keep up your theater work!

hang in there, there will be other opportunities and maybe the kind of part you play well just wasn't the type that Aladdin features...don't give up, just have fun with your small part -- if it weren't for the small parts, the play wouldn't be half as good ~ they're important 2!
