That happened to me when I watched the Grudge. I mean, when you go to sleep at night, just think to youself "Its not real, it's not real". Just tell youself that it's not real, its physically impossible for a little girl to come out of a TV, and its just a movie. When that didnt help, I sung to myself or listened to my CD player. Also, just focus your mind on other things. Hopefully you'll overcome your fear. I overcame mine in about 3 days because I focused myself SO HARD on other things. Hope I helped.

i think you sohuldn't watch the movie because if you watch something scary it gets stuck in your head and stays there forever. HERE IS A TIP NEVER WATCH ANYTHING SCARY BEFORE GOING TO BED BECAUSE IT GETS STUCK IN YOUR HEAD AND YOUR IMAGATION ACTS UP AND YOU START TO THINK IT IS REAL.

ok well i have the DVD and i saw the movie on a rainy night and after i saw the movie the phone rung , now that messed me up. All i did was say to my self over and over again that it's not real, it's just a movie , it never really happend. I hope when you do that you won't be scared any more.

Firefly answered Sunday September 19 2004, 7:58 pm:
Think about other things before you go to sleep. Or maybe start watching lots of stupid, funny movies like Monty Python or Princess Bride. Or you could watch an old horror movie that isn't horrific at all. You'll get over it, though.

...You could also get caller ID.

Sing. xD It helps. I used to be freaked out by that movie, but I've(mostly) gotten over it, and if I get scared, I sing. Sounds stupid, but it works.

The little girl who played Samara is really nice and she is pretty and adorable. Remember it's just a movie. If you get scared, picture her coming and looking really goofy. If it was the dead people who scared you, picture them all pretty or funny.

I watched that freakin movie in my basement at a party once and im scared to go down there! lol but i know exactly how you feel-put on a radio and lay in your bed listening to the radio for awhile while the light is on. Try not to think about the movie, and concentrate on the songs on the radio. Also, if you have a pet like a cat or dog, try to get the pet to stay in your room at night. After awhile you can go shut the light off and keep the radio on through the night.

yeah i was really really scared when i saw it too. just remember it was a fictional movie. watch funny tv at night, and unplug your phone so it won't ring and freak you out. leave one in my inbox if you still need help.

Just think thats a scary movie! Its not real so nothing can hurt you. If you have a TV in your room take it out for a while or sleep in a diffrent room in your house for a while. Just remmeber its a movie and its not true and it could never happen. I would just not watch scary movies until your ready.

i no the images rite. that freaked me out to. like get a nite lite or go under the covers. or watch it and pause it on the really scary parts that freak u out and stare at the until u face ur fear. the 7 days part shoodn't scare u bcuz how many times have seven days passed and how many people have watched the moovie. You'll survive. good luck.

To help you get a better night's sleep, turn on your tv and leave it on the disney channel or something for the night. Also, use a light night. I know it sounds childish but it helps. Hope I helped :)
