How do I get off the phone?
What's a polite way to get off the phone with someone. I'm not annoyed with this person, in fact I'm completely in love with her, but I just don't want to turn into one of those 4 hour conversations every day kind of couples.

Well You can just say that your moms calling you, you need to go take a shower, someone called for you parents, people are coming so you have to help your mom, tell her that you cant stay on much longer your parents are angry! In the beginning of the convo just be like Hey.. in like 10 minutes i have to get off. if she asks y just be like idk my parents are making me!! If you dont want to lie. Just be like well ill talk to you later! I gotta go!! Those will all work!! Good Luck! x0x

The best way is to have an escape plan before you get on the phone. That way at the beginning of the conversation you can mention it, so she'll know that you don't have endless time on the phone. (Like you have to be somewhere at a certain time, or someone else in the house needs to use the phone, or you have something important that you have to do.) There's always the old stand-bye of an important call on the other line.

lo lwhat i do is say "hold on someone is on my other line" and then push like the flash button or the button that hangs up that wil llet u go to the other line and i click it again to the perosn im talking to and say "hey thats for my mom (or anyone!) i gotta go ill call ya later."

Well if u say "sorry i ahve to go, talk to ya later" she might get the hint that u dont want to talk 24 7 and she will prob not call as much!

just make up an everyday excuse chore or say.."i'm gonna go on-line in a few...alright?..ttyt..bye" its that simple - hope I helped

Tell her you don't like to have really long conversations but you hope she's not offended when you cut the conversation off. Making excuses works for awhile but pretty soon she's gonna start to wonder if you even want to talk to her at all. **Kacie**

What I do is go to my mom, and I put my thumb down or I slide my thumb across my throat like i'm cutting off my head and my mom'll usually say I have to get off the phone or something.

Wow, there are a lot of things you can say. You cna say you have homework that you have to do, you have to go because your parents need your help with something, you're feeling light headed and you have to lay down, you are gonna go watch tv or a movie, someone has to use the phone, or you can say that you have to go out for a while. There are plenty of more thing you can say too, just think lol. Hope I helped :)

why dont you try sayin that oyu have been on the phone a long time and your parents bneed to make a phone call, or taht you ned to go get ready for sumtin, and us you don want to lie try sayin that oyu have been on the phone for a long time and that got dont really feel like talkin and tyell her to either im you or email oyu... but if you do that be sure to tell you that you like not mad at herh you just dont want to talk! if shhe is really yuor friend she will say ok! and who knows maybesomeday you will want to talk to her for a long time!!

Don't lie, if she catches you, it'll seem like you never wanted to talk in the first place, just be honest...If you wanna watch TV just say hey I'm gonna watch this show and I'll tlak to you tomorrow, or say what you want to do! Also, a way to avoid her thinking you want a long conversation is by calling and saying, I just wanted to say hi and see how your day went and with the questions answered say well I better go or whatever...but as a girl I must say...I'm not one for a looong conversation every night but if my boyfriend didn't call me everyday or have a long conversation every once in a while, I'd feel distant..Hope I helped and good luck with your girl! = )

you can tell her that you have something to do at a certain time so you can cut the conversation short. you probably dont want to lie to her, so maybe you should straight out tell her that you love her, but talking 4 hours a night isnt your thing. im sorry if im not much help, but i guess its better to tell the truth instead of making something up since you are in love with her and everything.
