SouthernBarbieGirl answered Monday August 16 2004, 7:11 pm: Use light (almost tannish) brown, white, light blue, light pink, ect. Apply it lightly and to get more of a sufisticated but not to much look then buy shimmer eye shadows. Their not to glittery but they are just shiny enough to catch the light. Good Luck Sweetie! I'm sure your a very beautiful girl and u dont have a thing to worry about! =) [ SouthernBarbieGirl's advice column | Ask SouthernBarbieGirl A Question ]

JoSiE19 answered Monday August 16 2004, 5:59 pm: ok here we go i know exacly how to do it.
ok u want a nutral color to start out with let say we're using shades of purple... ok so u cover like ur whole eye wiht that up to the brow almost really lightly so u can barely tell its there, then u take the darkest shade of that purple, it doesn't even have to be dark, just the darkest one out of the 3 that you will have... put that on the outer corners of your eye very lighly and thin... then you put the midle shade and cover the middle part of ur eyelid with it and take a fluffy kinda brush and blend it all together a little bit, it will look great and you wont look like a crack whore if u practice it a few times, use as much or as little as u want and im sure it will look great.
also... if u want something to look darker just put it on lighter a few times instead of taking alot of it and then putting it on and deciding its too much or something
for the lightest shade, use a fluffy brush
for the darkest, use something thin and firm
for the middle one, use anything u feel comfortable with.
alwasy brush uppp lol
and if this doesn't work or u dont like it for some reason, this is not josie, im shana her friend and assistant in advicenators...
hope it all works out im sure ull look great
luv shana [ JoSiE19's advice column | Ask JoSiE19 A Question ]
MeganKristine answered Monday August 16 2004, 4:16 pm: The point of eyeshadow is to make your eyes pop out. So, I've not really a good sugestion for that, perhaps using a light color, right over your lid that covers your eye ball, make it light, like a light light brown, maybe pink, or white. xxxxxx answered Monday August 16 2004, 3:59 pm: if you want it to look natural, don't wear grays or silver, wear a neutral color suck as tan, beige, or gold, depending on your skin color! [ xxxxxx's advice column | Ask xxxxxx A Question ]
AskMeL123 answered Monday August 16 2004, 3:53 pm: Hey There. So I feel like all of the other people that answered you are like 16 and they just started using make up (of offense). For the past couple years I've tried different methods and I've also went to school for aestetics (the study of face, facials, make up). I've learned that best technique for me is to buy those maybelline eyeshadows with the 3 colors in it. Apply the lightest color to the entire lid (right up to underneath your eyebrow). Then place the medium color on just your eyelid. Use the darkest color with a tini bit of the lightest color to the line that creases when you open your eye. This is what works best for me! Remember all people are different. Mess around with it! *C-Ya* [ AskMeL123's advice column | Ask AskMeL123 A Question ]
