Just tell her u would feel more comfortable wearing them. I know how it is to ask your mom that. My first time asking.. i was sooo embarrassed. When its just u and ur mom.. just flat out ask her.. it makes it soo much easier for u if ur alone with her.

Just remember that she is going thru it too, so she understands u, she will find it perfectly normal.

your moms a woman too,so she'll understand that you have your period and you need then.so just ask her for them,the worst she could say is that she'll only buy you maxi pads or sumthing.

Don't worry about it hun! Ur mom went through the exact same thing of having her period so it should b no big deal. Just go up 2 her and tell her u would like 2 start using tampons and she'll b able 2 help u get the right kind and everything. Don't worry about it! :-)

Maybe you should write her a note asking her. If Im too embarrassed to say something outloud to my mom, then I write it down and ask her. *lol* I thought my mom would say no whenever I asked her if I could get tampons, but she didnt.

The thing to understand is that your mother was once trying to work up the guts to ask HER mom for menstrual supplies. I think the best thing is to just wait for the right moment, and go for it.
I'd have some reasons prepared so you can explain why you want to use tampons - that makes you sound more responsible and serious about wanting to use them.

This is what i did. what it is really hott out and u have ur period go to ur mom and say can i go in da pool (if u dont have one ask her if u can go ova 2 ur friends house and go in her pool) then she will prob say u cnt go in with pads. that is when u ask her if u can wear a tompon. after that just keep using them. she wont say nething bc she knows what ur going through.. hope that helped

Your mom probably uses tampons, and she'd be excited to introduce you to them. If not, you have perfectly good reasons to want to use them. They're easier and cleaner than pads, you can swim with them in, and plus - it's not like you're losing your virginity to them or anything =/ - rate me!

its really not a big deal.. she'll completely understand! first ask her opinion on them and say that you've heard they're better than a pad and you'd like to try them. maybe she'll let you use some of hers to try out. and if u like them just ask her if she could pick u up some! she's a woman too and she went through the same thing! dont worry about it and just ask!
