musicbox379 answered Saturday August 28 2004, 1:39 pm: I am so sorry. I can imagine this is very, very difficult. I understand this isn't something you can just "get over". Time will help, though that seems untrue right now. I believe everything happens for some type of reason. Though things seem horrible now, they won't forever. You might even figure out the reason all of this happened. Learn from it, since it's not something I know how to change. If none of my words are helping, I want to tell you a story. I once had this beautiful cat named Burrito who was hit by a car on February Friday the 13 of this year. I am not "over it" and will never be since he was like my child, but a series of events brought about a wonderful change for me. When I began thinking about death, I was able to pinpoint what I thought were pointless deaths and now I eat absolutly no animal products (meat, cheese, milk, eggs, ect). It was such an empowering thing for me. I've never quite beenthe same. Though it wasn't fair for this to happen, something beautiful did come from it. You will have all types of experiences in life- good and bad. If you try your hardest to make a difference the positive events will naturally come out. Just_Being_True answered Friday August 20 2004, 1:19 pm: Well since I have had a friend commit suicide i know that it is difficult and you are looking for answers. But she is not coming back, or at least that is the way i belive. You have to trust that God forgave her and he let her come into heaven. You have to believe that our God is a forgiving God. I don't know if this is what you wanted to hear....
Airie answered Tuesday August 17 2004, 12:05 pm: I dont know wat books to read, but i can tell u sumthin about reincarnation. I once heard that if they were a good person. they'll cum bak as an animal. If they were bad, they'll cum bak as a bug, or they mite not even cum bak at all. mylordwon answered Monday August 16 2004, 11:28 pm: I am sooo sorry to hear about your friend. But I absolutely agree with blu. Reincarnation is bogus. The Bible IS the answer. Explore it. Ever since I discovered the Truth from the Bible, nothing has been able to stand against it. It's like the people who stop counterfeiters from making fake money. They don't study every counterfeiting possiblity, they study the real thing so when a counterfeit dollar shows up they know it. The Bible is the real thing, reincarnation is a counterfeit. I encourage you to find the comfort you seek by opening the Word of God.
Mercy_x_Me answered Saturday August 14 2004, 4:05 pm: reancarnation is bogus. Im not trying to be harsh or righteous but I do know what Im talking about. Is your friend hindu? If not even the hindus believe that she wouldnt go through reancarnation or whatever. But anyhow, I am terribly sorry to hear about your loss. It must be terrible to loose a good friend. I can recommend a good book thats never failed me, The Bible. You may seem hesitant but if you give it just a little chance see what it has to say about what happens after you die. Im sure you'll figure your questions out, and maybe you can find some comfort for your own self. I really hope you do give it a try because I know that since I was saved it has drastically transformed my life... i really hope you find what it is that your heart really seeks. Please let me know what happens... i am praying for you and your loss and I really care for your situation.
JoSiE19 answered Saturday August 14 2004, 2:02 pm: look, i know u are really upset with what happened to ur friend...but hun, god did it for a reason...maybe to show something...maybe to give someone a sign, a heads up...on anything...reincarnation is NOT the answer...u really just have to move on...but NEVER forget, and it shows how strong u really are...u may really love this person, but she left, and there's nothing u can really do about it except pray she's okay wherever she is now...and even do ME a favor, pray that she's happier now then she was on earth, thank u and i hope i helped

lovelyrita answered Friday August 13 2004, 5:00 pm: See if a local Hindu or Buddhist temple has a library, or you can talk to a religious leader there. Hindus believe in a selfhood/soul and Buddhists do not, but both believe that your friend (or your friend's illusion of self) will be reincarnated as many times as it takes to work off his/her karma.
barthez4 answered Friday August 13 2004, 4:44 pm: i don't know of any good books, but if you believe in all of this then go to a psychic and request a seance (spelling?). according to some people, they are the real deal. [ barthez4's advice column | Ask barthez4 A Question ]
marlysta answered Friday August 13 2004, 3:36 pm: I don't know any books about reincarnation but Sylvia Brown says that when someone commits suicide, they just go right back in utero to another family and start again.
Sylvia says there are exceptions, like if they were mentally ill at the time they commited suicide, or if it is part of their "chart" to commit suicide, teaching the people that they left behind something important. In a case like that, then they would go straight back to God.
