A Period Question

Question Posted Tuesday August 10 2004, 11:19 pm

When I get period on my underwear, I try to rinse it out in the sink as soon as possible. My question is this-- should I use hot water to rinse it or cold? I've heard both opinios for the following reasons:

*You should use hot water because it will rinse it out better.
*You should use cold water because hot water will cause it to set and then it will be stained. So I guess my question is, is this true?

yes - cold water is the right choice. rinse it with cold water to work out the stain a little. then put stain stick on it and wash it in the washer on the warm/warm setting. then check to see if the stain is still there. if it is - DO NOT PUT UNDERWEAR IN DRYER that will cause it to set - do as before - hope this works - it does for me! rate please*

hydrogen peroxide that will work the best. Soak it then rinse with warm water not hot. then put in wash. Always works for me.

Cold water is better bcuz the hot water will set the stain. When u use cold water, even tho it all might not come out, when u put it in the washer that will get most of the rest of it out. Stay away from the hot water.

You sure got a lot of answers you weren't expecting. Now you don't know hot or cold! Well let me give you a tip of advice that I learned from CHURCH! If you bleed on your clothes, from a cut or from your period spit on it. Your saliva has a chemical reaction with the blood and will help remove it. You can figure the rest out with the hot and cold and the cold and hot but believe me if you spit on it, IT WORKS! Sounds odd but it is the answer to all my prayers!

If the blood is still wet and you get it under cold water, you'll be able to see with your own eyes that cold water is magical. Even when the blood has dried, just leave it to soak in cold water.

I learned this trick from my aunt when I was in 8th grade, and it's never failed. You don't need soap, hydrogen peroxicide, or anything else. Just plain, old fashioned cold tap water.

Try it and you'll see.

you should use hot water! But if ya want a tip that wokrs great, put them in the sink and pour hydrogen peroxide on the spot that needs to be clean. Let it sit anywhere from 30mins-1 hours and then rinse w/ hot water. Once u do that throw it in the laundry! and there ya go! Got anymore probs lemme some in the inbox! -*-Sonnie-*-

COLD WATER!!!! if you use hot, it will permanently stain your undies. just rinse with cold water and put soap on both sides of the stain and get out as much as you can before you put it in the wash.

You should use cold water and a little bit of soap, because the cold water helps get the blood out easier. The hot water wont take out the stain.

Hot water works the best because it takes the stain out and kills the bacteria.
