Depression is a sticky situation. Really all you can do is wait it out. Most teenage depression doesn't need medication because it's temporary. She's the only one who can figure things out. If she gets to the point of hurting herself intentionally, you need to tell somebody. The best thing you can do to help it pass is be a good friend. Listen to her when she talks; try to make her smile; compliment her when you get a chance. It's small steps working through teenage depression. She'll appreciate you being there for her.

People ussaully get depressed when something dramatic happens in there life. the best natural way to help stop depression is just to be there for a person show them the whole world doesnt suck, and must of all try to show them as good of time as any. dont try and tell her you no how she feels becouse no one but her no's how she feels. hope i could help

Do something special for her. Use your happiness to bring her some. Take her somewhere special, get her a present, invite her over and just talk. There are so many things you could do for her that could make her feel better. Just try something.

Quite honestly, there is only so much that you can to do help your friend on your own. She may require professional help. Has she been depressed for a while, or is this just a "phase" that she is going through? I would definitely talk to a counselor about her and urge him/her to talk to your friend. This may sound drastic, but depression is not something to be taken lightly. If she is clinically depressed, then she may require therapy and perhaps even medication. As her friend, you must look out for her and do what's best for her. Good Luck! :) <3 Melissa

you might have to let her get over it on her own. a person who is depressed doesnt like to hear what others have to say. shes going to have to realize that she needs help on her own. just make sure she doesnt do anything to hurt herself

TELL HER HOW HAPPY YOU ARE! It's so much more fun to be happy than depressed! Talk to her and tell her that you care about her. Then if that doesnt work SHOW HER. Take her somewhere where you guys can have a realllllly fun time! I dont know what your into but I think amusement parks are always fun! I mean how can you not have fun there?! haha anyways if thats not your thing then maybe a movie (comedy!!) or shopping or SOMETHING! hopefully that will let her see what shes missing out on! Hope everything works out :D

Show her a good time you're having and maybe she'll find things that are happy in life... if not sooner or later something good will happen... believe me... it happened to me. Tell her what you just said. That you care for her and you dont want her life to pass her by. Take her places you know she will enjoy and have fun. The more fun she starts to have the less depressed she will be.

Good luck
