HyperactiveMiss answered Friday July 30 2004, 6:04 am: I had this problem when I first started my period. I'd leave stains on my bed sheet. My mom suggested me to put this old cloth on my bed. You can get a towel or some old cloth you don't use and put that over your bed. That way it won't stain your bed. I don't use tampons, so I don't know about them, but if you're using pads there are some pads that are made for overnight or heavy periods. They have wings, they're very thick, and they're extra long in the back, so that nothing leaks. You should try those, if you haven't. Change your pad or tampon before you go to sleep. I hope your little "problem" stops =) [ HyperactiveMiss's advice column | Ask HyperactiveMiss A Question ]

xmissybootsx answered Wednesday July 28 2004, 11:38 pm: Buy some overnight pads.. that happens to everyone and there's nothing you can do about it unless you want to be getting up all night to check like an insane maniac. [ xmissybootsx's advice column | Ask xmissybootsx A Question ]
xForeverxForgottenx answered Wednesday July 28 2004, 11:15 pm: well theres really no secret to it. it will always happen if its that heavy. but when mine gets like that i either keep waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, or i just sleep on a towel. that way it wont go through to the sheets and you dont have to throw them out. and if it does get on the towel then you can just continue to use the same one every time you get your period(but still wash it ofcorse) hope i helped. MelpomeneMuse answered Wednesday July 28 2004, 10:45 pm: It's really bad to sleep with a tampon in, because you shouldn't wear them for very long, so don't try that. That has happened to me before, and I know what to do. There are overnight tampons, which are long so they cover your entire underwear, so when the blood-drips, I guess-It doesn't get on your underwear or your bed. If you don't have any of those, just put two pads on to cover the same area that an overnight bad would. [ MelpomeneMuse's advice column | Ask MelpomeneMuse A Question ]
