knowitall answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 6:31 pm: A hickey is actually broken blood vessels beneath the skin. It's sort of like a bruise, if you got hit with a baseball and the impact broke the blood vessels. But instead of being caused by a foul ball, it's caused by the other person's mouth. Sagittarius03 answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 6:07 pm: its when people suck on your skin, which pulls blood to the skin, resulting in leaving a red mark. it doesnt necessarily have to be on your neck, it can be basically anywhere. -PA [ Sagittarius03's advice column | Ask Sagittarius03 A Question ]
