ncheer answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 11:46 am: You most likely won't get pregnant, but there have been cases were the condom breaks open, on the condom slips off a little and lets some seamon into the vagina. so just to be safe i would use birth control also. but your already doing better than some people who don't even wear condoms!
Mackenzie answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 1:43 am: Wearing a condom helps a lot to prevent pregnancy, but it is NOT a 100% guarantee by ANY means what so ever!!! It's best to take birth control also.. but again.. it's NOT a 100% guarantee. Just be wise and responsible! Enjoy! [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
SeXyLaCi_XoX answered Monday July 19 2004, 11:30 am: Condoms protect around 98% for not becoming pregnant. For extra protection you can use birth control pills.
Mel answered Monday July 19 2004, 11:15 am: condoms are only 80% effective. there's still the 20% you will get pregnant. if you do use just a condom and have prolonged sex, make sure you have a few condoms on hand (not just one) so you can change it every now and then. it's safer. drifting_nimbus answered Sunday July 18 2004, 12:26 pm: Condoms have a 98% chance of preventing pregnancy. Though they can't protect you from STD's. So to answer your question they usually will prevent you from getting pregnant but simple mistakes like putting it on wrong or having a defected condom (ripped) could lower your chances of staying baby free. The only sure way is abstinance. Sorry to sound like a teacher but that's the truth! Hope I helped, Em'lee [ drifting_nimbus's advice column | Ask drifting_nimbus A Question ]
Jessie1734 answered Saturday July 17 2004, 2:26 pm: Wearing a condom during sex is a safe way to not get pregnant but sometimes the condom make brake. If you want to EXTRA careful I would consider using a condom and birth control pills. Either way you will be safe.
Jessica06 answered Friday July 16 2004, 11:39 pm: Condoms are pretty safe when it comes to protecting you aganist pregnancy.. as long as you use them right and it doesn't break. If you just have birth control and you take them regularly at the same time everyday.. thats 99% that you won't get pregnant and thats not even wearing a condom. So if you take both you are pretty much safe-BUT nothing is as safe as not having sex at all! [ Jessica06's advice column | Ask Jessica06 A Question ]

GoDdeSsOfEveRyThInG answered Friday July 16 2004, 10:04 pm: The precentage of not getting pregnant with a condom is like 99.99% but if it breaks during sex, then thats when you can get pregnant. I think anyone sexually active should take birth control and wear condoms, you can never be too safe. Good luck and be safe!!
