Okay so i need some help in helpin out my best friend.. so here goes with some background information. my friend met this kid over the summer at her camp, well it turns out he lives in the neighborhood where we go to school at. well my friend chills with him sometimes and she really likes him ALOT, but the thing is he says he doesn't want a girlfriend and everything but he's trying to get my friend to have sex with him!! i mean she asked me for advice and i told her she shouldn't because i mean she's 14 and she shouldn't lose her virginity to this guy who she doesn't even go with.. and it's kind of obvious that all he wants is to hit it.. well she went to 2nd base with him and i'm afraid she's gonna do it with him and he's gonna like stop talkin to her or just use her for sex. i mean i don't want that to happen to her but she won't listen to me she like wants him to like her. and he'll say all this stuff like yea after we have sex we'll go out, and i'm like yea bullshit. but she believes his lies and she needs to wake up and smell the coffee..lol.. so what can i do to help her out? help me out please. thankies i'll rate you too.. buh bye. Tough love. Sit her down and tell her straight. Even if it makes her upset, do it anyway. Sometimes the best road isn't always the easiest. Make sure you assure her that your worried about her and that you just want her to be safe. Make sure she knows your fears and that you have something to back them up with! ok, next year i will be in 7th grade and i am gonna do athletics. im kinda short for my age and dont have much muscle or anything. im not overweight, but im not exactly "strong and athletic". im afraid that next year i will make the bad teams and be one of the worst atheletes there. im not a ver good runner and im afraid were gonna have to do alot of that! i just dont wanna look stupid in front of all my other friends who are tall and long-legged and will be able to run a mile in 5 minutes, wen im bak there truggin along. does any1 no an easy way 2 get in shape without havin 2 like do hours and hours of strenuous excersise?? plz answer! :)

Ever heard of pilates? It's pretty hard when you first start, but after you get going it gets really easy. The work out is basically a mix between aerobics and yoga. Works the stomach, legs, lower back, pretty much everything in one work out. Plus it will help your endurance so you can play sports and run longer. You can get tapes for it at stores like Media Play and FYE, or pretty much any book store in your area. If you want an online version try:

By the way, if your planning on starting sports my advice is to make sure you have the time, and remember to drink a lot of water (hehe). Also no matter how hard it gets stick with it, everything is hard to begin with, but it will get easier!

This is not so much a request for advice as an asking for feedback on a random gripe...
I've only recently noticed, after years of what seems now to have been denial, that most everyone loves being unhappy, simply because it is the easiest and most familiar way to exist. After several attempts at being a good friend to many people, it is apparent that my helpful thoughts are shunned, and my existence ignored should they find any reason to be angry at the world. After speaking with a close friend of mine on this subject, their reply to my disgust was 'No Shit, people hate the truth and happiness, because they know that these things are better than what they have always had, and will most probably ever have.’
This upsets me greatly, because it has always been my policy of sorts to tell the truth and be as helpful as possible...Though I noticed as a child that even my mother gave me strange looks for this.
My question is: has anyone else recieved hatred in return for honest attempts at being helpful, or something similar?
I feel as though I've been blindsided by this concept, it is extremely confusing.

Ever heard the term "brutally honest" or "hurting to help". Most of the time when you give a completely honest answer the reciever is going to get mad. Not because your being honest but because your telling them what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. Half the time when someone complains about something or is having a problem they tell it to people not for help but for attention. They don't want someone to help, they want someone to be a good audience, to sigh and laugh at the cue times.
To answer qestion, your not alone. About everyone has faced a friend that has snapped at them for being to honest. Or had some random person give you a weird look for saying what you really want to say.
Don't worry about it and no matter what someone does or says, continue to be honest. It's better for them to hear the truth then to be lied at, and it will help them later even if they don't realize it then. luv yah, Em'lee

Hey. Im getting a guitar for my birthday. And the sad thing is that i dont kow how to play one. Which means i need lessons. But i am lacking in the monetry department at the moment... so im gonna be a laxy screw and get them off the internet or summink.
Does anyone here use those online guitar lessons?? Do you reckon theyre any better/ worse than real live people lessons??
Any tips on starting out on the guitar would be peachy too.

I got a bass for my birthday and had no idea how to play it and was (still am) to busy to take lessons. So my dad bought me a starter book and I tought myself, all you need is dedication!
And I think that teaching yourself has a few advantages (like you can move at your own pace), but a real teacher can push you usually more then you can push yourself.

I play the piano, and at the moment I'm supposed to be working towards my Grade 7. The problem is, though, that my piano teacher hasn't given me the music yet - he only gives it me a couple of months before the exam and so I've never got more thatn a merit in any of the Grades so far. I know that if he gives me enough time to do my pieces, I can maybe get a distinction, or at least come close. I have a friend with a different piano teacher, and say she's working towards Grade 6, he'll give her Grade 7 music even before she's done her Grade 6. I don't get why my teacher does things differently because I know I can get better marks if I have the pieces for longer! What should I do? (link)

Have you tried asking for the music? Most teachers won't say no to a dedicated student. Even if he does refuse to give you the music, ask (politely) for a reason and if it's resonably just accept it. If it's a bad reason then discuss it with him and see if he can give you the music at least a little bit earlier. Good luck! Em'lee

I want to learn to play the violin. I own one already, two in fact. I don't have money for lessons and they aren't offered for free at school but I really want to learn. I've tried teaching myself, but in the past it hasn't worked. I've always given up without that initial drive to learn that comes with lessons. It's like I need someone forcing me to do it. My parents have never really been supportive of me learning any instrument and it's unfair that they were both given opportunities in school to play and I haven't. I want to play so badly that I cry myself to bed at night over it. But I have no way to learn. (link)

Have you thought about buying a teach-yourself book? Most storys carry books that help you teach yourself by showing you the basics. Some even come with a DVD or cd if your a visual or audio learner. You can get most of them for pretty cheap and if you get a good one (and practice) you can learn in no time. Good luck! Em'lee

ok.. like 3 years ago i decided to decorate my room with posters and pictures from all the musicians i liked. well this was in 7th grade and i liked britney spears and all that, but i hate that kind of music now.
i want to take all those posters down and put up new ones with good bands (thursday, dashboard, NOFX, ataris, new found glory.. etc.) does anyone kow of any magizines that have these kinds of bands in them, instead of the teen mags that have justin timberlake and chingy..

To get nice music posters, it's usually easier just to buy them in a music store. Stores like FYE and Media Play usually have a wide selection of posters, even stories like Hot Topic and Spencers usually have rock/metal/punk posters. Hope I helped! Em'lee

Surprisingly Ebay has really cheap cd's and usually you can get cd's pretty cheap at small stores in a strip mall or something.
But for an even cheaper way, check with your friends and see if they have the cd you want, if they do then burn it! All you have to pay for is the blank cd.
Or you could try used cd's, most of the time cd's are returned not because they were defected but because of a broken case or they just didn't want it. Stores like FYE and Media Play usually have a used cd rack.

Condoms have a 98% chance of preventing pregnancy. Though they can't protect you from STD's. So to answer your question they usually will prevent you from getting pregnant but simple mistakes like putting it on wrong or having a defected condom (ripped) could lower your chances of staying baby free. I don't know what you have done already, but to spice things up between me and my boyfriend we tried the bathtub! There was a huge thunder storm outside and he had lit candles around the tub so it smelled amazing. Me and my boyfriend of 6 months went through the same thing when he realized that most of my friends are guys. That was a month ago! Just remind him that he is the only one you could ever love and make sure you show it! When your around your guyfriends and him, pay extra attention to him just to make sure he knows he's the only one on your mind. And if your friends and him don't really hang out, how about you invite him on a trip to the mall or bowling with all of you?
