I have braces. But when you get them on, they don't hurt and you're all happy saying "haha they dont hurt" lol don't do that cuz about 2 hours later they start to hurt! So right when you get home from getting your braces on, take some tylenol. They will hurt for about I want to say a week or two. Just eat soft things, like mashed potatos, ramon noodles, soup, etc.

Oh I have had braces before. The only time they hurt was when they tighten them. The rest of the time they didnt hurt.

no they dont hurt at all i have braces. they get sore after a few days but they dont hurt really bad that you will cry or something.There is certian things you can and cant eat. Ask your othadonics,they will tell you that, But no braces do not hurt

They don't hurt accept after they tighten them. The day you go take ibeprofen about an hour before you go so they won't hurt after!

Yeah, hunni, unfortunatly, after you get them on, tightened, or taken off, your mouth is sore, and can bee too sore to eat hard food. They feel weir for the 1st week, but they become a part of your life after that. =) don't worry, it'll pay off in the longshot

I actuallyhave them right now. They only hurt a lil bit when u get ur wires tightened. Maybe it just me but i never thougth they hurt at all...

Well yes I have braces right now when you first get them on the very first day they are going to hurt so you have to eat stuff like yogurts,ice cream(just plain flavors) the second day it wont hurt that much but they will still hurt.For your braces you can take advil or pain killers that take the pain from your mouth.The third day your teeth will be fine but every month you have to go get them tighten thats the only part that hurts.So dont worry it wont hurt that much just prolly for the first two days.Hope I helped

yeh they do hurt but only for a few days after u get them then they feel fine...but sometimes after each appointment they hurt for a few days...hope this helps...i have had my braces for a year and i get them off in about 4-8 months!!! :]

Braces Don't Hurt. Only For The First Week Or So. So, When You First Get Them, Take Ibiprofen, Eat Soup, Sleep A Lot. You'll Be Ok!

Well, they make your teeth sore every time you get them tightened. But think of the after effects! Beautiful teeth! The pain isn't completely overwelming. I'm sure you can handle it!
