Hi, I really hope you can help; i've gotten mixed responses from others...
Basically, my BF discovered that in my senior year of college (I graduated last year) I had taken two semesters worth of judo classes and he thought this was really funny b/c I don't look like, I guess, a "typical" jock chick--that is i'm not muscular or buff or whatever...i'm your stereotypical "girly girl" in appearance--tall, skinny, blond hair, blah blah blah and I'm like 125 lbs....so he's laughing at me, calling me "judogirl", etc., and I was fine w/all that, if a little annoyed, but then he made a mistake: he challenged me to a wrestling match...and I beat him.
He outweighs me by like 40 lbs. and is pretty strong but he didn't understand that my judo skills would use his strength against him and he just couldn't believe I won. I figured it was a one-time deal, but he was so bent out of shape that he's challenged me several times since then, and I've defeated him every time. It would be OK if he didn't take it so seriously, but he just becomes this mean pouty jerk when he loses and keeps challenging me and now i've refused to wrestle him b/c it's no fun and I hate his sexist attitude as well. But refusing to wrestle just makes him angrier and he says stuff like "you're just afraid i'll figure out your 'tricks' and win...it's so annoying!
I've considered just faking it and letting him win but I don't REALLY want to do that b/c I'm proud of my skills, and just wish he would be too...plus when he baits me w/all this "you're just a girl" crap, it gets my goat and i'm more than happy to throw him to the floor and pin him when he gets too tired to fight me off...
Have you ever beaten a boy at something athletic--whether martial arts or sports--or know a girl who has? B/c maybe if I can tell him he's not the only one he won't feel so bad... (link)

First off, thank you!
Well your boyfriend needs to realize that even though he's bigger and that he's a male, it's okay lose to a girl. Times are changing, and both sexes are equal now, EVEN physically (sometimes). Girls can be athletic, strong, do judo, wrestle, etc. Why is it such a big deal when you beat him!? Maybe you should remind him that you have experience in judo, so you know how to kick pretty much anyone's butt.. not just his. Maybe go further to remind him that he's better at baseball then you are, or that he kicks ass in card games (these are just examples). Remind him you may be better at this, but he is still better than you at other things.
And yes- I've beaten guys in a few things.. maybe not wrestling, not gonna lie.. my boyfriend is way bigger than me, and he pins me like it's not even a lift of his finger. But I've beaten guys at sports.. football, volleyball, etc. They get peeved, but they really need to learn- girls CAN win too!!

I'm taking a driver's ed class. I got my class portion done with, and now I have to go through four driving sessions to pass and get my license. I took one of my sessions almost two weeks ago and it didn't go so well. I was really nervous. I kept using the brake and was so nervous being around the instructer. I'm fine when Im in the car with my parents, but when I was with the driving instructer (knowing he was watching my ever move and how well i was doing) I got really nervous. My next session is on Monday and Im extremely paranoid about it. I know im good enough to pass the class because I know the basics and drive all the time, but I have some issues with driving and being graded on my driving. Does anyone have any advice on how to be more relaxed while im with the instructer? Please...any advice will be greatly appreciated =] (link)

We all go through it, and I know nerves can get the best of us. You're right, it's kinda scary when someone's watching your every move. But you said yourself, you know what you're doing! Just be confident in front of the instructor too! Trust me, he understands that the students get a little bit nervous. As long as you aren't veering off the roads, you can't be that bad! As far as hitting the brakes a lot, I did that! Just stay calm, breathe easy, and try not to stress! Cuz it's your nerves making you hit the brakes, not your driving skills. Good luck hun!! =]

It's so hard to explain. Like for a guy to orgasm, it's just BOOM cum, and you're done. But for a girl, in my opinion, it is SO much better. Like, your whole body goes into the orgasm. The idea of being less likely to get pregnant while on your period, is nothing more than a myth. I advise you get a pregnancy test as soon as possible. If you aren't pregnant, make sure you use a condom next time, and everytime, whether you are on your period or not.

umm well I like this guy hes 22 and he seems to like me back. we have a lot in common, we go to the same church and for me thats a big plus.

If you really like this guy, and you have so much in common, go for it! All my guy friends are around that age, none of them are planning on marrying anytime soon. I think this generation raised the age of marriage bar way higher than it used to be. I'd say late 20s.. so you guys might have a way to go. Bottom line, if you see yourself with this man, and he asks you out.. why wouldn't you say yes? Be true to yourself, and don't let what your friends say influence that.

Hey girl! I'm 19/f. Been there, done that! So.. he may or may not have "popped your cherry" but one thing you should know.. this does not mean he de-virginized you, and it is certainly nothing to worry about.
About the pain you are having when you pee.. Don't stress just yet. This happens a lot of the time because when a guy fingers you, it's most likely he didn't wash his hands before he did it. (I'm just assuming.) SO it might be a minor UTI, but even if, it's no biggie. Girls are very prone to this. So just drink a lot of cranberry juice, and be very careful not to irritate it anymore for a little while.

I am vegetarian and stopped eating fatty and junk food since 2 months. Still I am not able to loose weight inspite of doing 2 times hworkout in a week.

Exercise more. Trust me, 2 times a week is not nearly enough. Since your goal isn't that much, try maybe 4 times a week, and work out for at least 30 minutes each time.

This guy that I've been friends with for a couple of years just got divorced. He told me that he wants to get married to me. He has never had children and said he wants to start a family with me. My concern is that he is 45, 17 years older then me. If we started to have children, by the time my child was 18 he would be in his 60's!! I am also concerned because he is quite old fashioned, and would want me to be a stay at home mom. I just got a promotion at work, and I don't want to have to quit it so soon. I've only been with the company for 4 months. He also has a tendancy to treat me like a child, has a bad temper, and is very tight with his money. He's also very possesive of me. I don't know what to do. He would be a good father, and I know I'd be a good mother, but I don't think I'm ready to start a family. My job is too important to me right now. And he seems really desperate to have a child, he's not getting any younger. Does anyone have any advice? (link)

If you're having these thoughts hun, obviously he's not the one. He's just a friend, tell him that. You can't "settle" into something that you can't picture happening. Don't pressure yourself either, wait for when it feels right.

Ugh I have the saaaaame problem. Go to like an A&P or something, they have plenty of hair stuff, like frizz eaze, and whatnot. Spread it through your hair while it's damp, then blowdry. And straighten. It works for the most part. Oh and take breaks from this, don't straighten everyday or you'll be fried! Maybe after you finish straightening it, put just a little hair spray in your palm and smooth it onto the ends. Don't go overboard!

I've been going out with my boyfriend for a little over two months and everything seemed great, but for the past week or so it just feels like I don't love him anymore. We mostly talk online and when we do I don't say much to him and I get aggervated a lot with him. When I do get to see him it's basically the same, I don't feel anything for him. Okay, basically. I have a HUGE crush right now. i'm a sophomore, he's a junior. He hangs out with a different crowd than i do and the only time i see him is in band and jazzband afterschool. I came up with an excuse to talk to him online, and we've been talking more and more through aim. It's almost gotten to the point where i might call him a friend. Everytime i see him, or think of him, i get butterflies in my stomach, and every time he smiles so do i. I just think he's amazing. Smart, funny, talented, unique... but i don't know what to do next. I think we may need to get to know eachother a bit more before we actually date or something but i'm not sure how to go about that. And i'm afraid if i ask him out and he says no, that things will be even more akward. I'm always thinking about him. I don't know what to do.

Well since you both are in the band that's amazing, and a perfect start. Do you guys play together, maybe on AIM (or while in band class) you can invite him over. Just be like "You know it'd be cool if we practiced together sometime." Take the AIM convos to the next step, like ask about what's going on in his life. Become his friend, and when that's achieved, start casually flirting, like mess up his hair (don't go overboard) tell him you love the feeling of his hair. Stuff like that, maybe he'll catch feelings for you. Just go with your instincts. Wait awhile though before if you work up the courage to ask him out. Way too soon, may look you look desperate.
