- - I Say, Sit Her Down, And Help Her Match Them God Damn Shoes! You Don't Have To Tell Her And Have Her Be Hurt. Sit Down With Her And Tell Her You Don't Want To Hurt Her, But You Need To Talk To Her About Her And Her NOT Matching Her Shoes!

- Good Luck, And I Hope I Helped!!

Dear out of style,
Why don't you ask her if you could help her pick out an outfit? Or maybe you can sleep over her house and change the shoes whenever she sets out the outfit.

Umm... I guess you should say something like "No offense, but your shoes don't match your clothes." and if she gets angry, tell her that it's for her own good because if you didnt tell her, then she would have worn her shoes like that all the time.

You should tell your friend the truth. That's what friends are there for. I don't think that she will take it personally. Personally, I would appreciate it if my friends helped me on my fashion issues, but who knows. Your friend might be setting a new fad.

don't tell her unless she asks your advice on her outfit. Then you can suggest a different pair of shoes.

it's annoying being told how out-of-style your clothing is. it really is. she probably won't pay attention to you anyway, because really, after alerting her to her fashion misdemeanor, what are you supposed to do? Monitor her every outfit?

*AHEM!*

Important Notice:

People like dressing the way they want to.

UNLESS she asks advice on her outfit, I would consider NOT bringing up the subject at all. Personally, I could care less about matching things. I have teal and neon yellow and bright purple shoes that go with absolutely nothing I own. However, I love to wear them. I wear them with lime green, hot pink, and plaid shirts that ALL clash with my shoes.

Do I care?

No.

Maybe you should ask her, "Do you care if your shoes match your outfit?" instead of trying to give her fashion advice.

"Friends don't give friends fashion advice."

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaave a good one.

I had the same problem with a friend!! Well, she's your friend so you dont want to offend her or upset her. So becareful with how you go about doing this. You may want to go to a bookstore like Barnes and Noble and get one of those fashion books that tell you what shoes to wear with what bottoms nad what tops and what colors and everything! They are so fun to read about. And you could tell her " Oh, I saw this awesome book the other day at the book store and thought you'd love it since you have such cute clothes and especially shoes" The y'all can look @ the book together and maybe next time y'all are getting ready you could nicely suggest she wear the other shoes with this certain outfit like hte book said! Just be nice!! :)

Here-To-Help answered Thursday June 24 2004, 11:51 pm:
Just joke around and say it to your friend...
My cousin/best friend once told me "Jess your outfit doesn't match" and I'm like "I know." but at that point I didn't treally care if my outfit matched or not...it was only pajamas...
But anyways...that's not the point (lol)...the point is that if you guys are really friends it shouldn't hurt her feelings...just tell her...nothing really bad is going to happen.

Then again, maybe she knows her shoes don't match. Personally, with my shoes I don't care if they match my outfit. That's just me though. It's not going to kill her or anything if her shoes are out of style...but if you REALLY think she ought to know then just be like "How come you never wear THOSE pair of shoes with THAT outfit?"

You know what I mean?...Just be like "because I think that would look so cool."

If they were really THAT BAD don't you think someone would have already told her?? I know that you just want to help her and I understand that and respect that but if you feel you REALLY HAVE to tell her then you should....

But then again, it's not that bad...and maybe she likes the way she wears her shoes and what outfit she wears them with...

Good Luck...
