Where could I find free grant information?

Hi. I'm trying to become a published author. I'd like to publish my own book, but I need to look for some government grants to see if I can get any financial assistance in getting my book out there. Do you know any grant places that are accepting grant applications? Places in which I do not have to pay to get access to the grant information?

breaks?

My car has recently strared to squeal/screach when I break. It's not all the time, mostly when I am in traffic. I assumed I needed break pads, so I had a friend check them, and they are fine. She assumed I have a "hard spot" in the pad. Could this be the cause? What else could it be?

Squeaky shoes

I have a pair of Berkenstocks that are very noisey when I walk. The leather squeaks when it rubs against the buckles with every step. Is there something I can treat them with to get rid of the squeak?

my mother and father have band me from talking to a guy i really like and he likes me. and i dont see why because my sisters have been making up all of this crap. and thats why i cant see him anymore and i got to go to this place last weekend and slow dance with him and i really want to go out with him but im not even allwoed to talk to him on the phone. amd my x boyfriend is his cousin and he still likes me so he is makeing up all of this crap to please help me

overreacting?

i emailed my friend to tell her some really good news (i finally got something i worked really hard for) like three nights ago and now shes finally emailed back. its a reply from my original email and all it says is 'dya know the school website'.
am i overreacting to be hurt like i am? it seems like she doesnt care. there wasnt even a 'congrats' in there.

Quitting

Hi,
I'm a kind of story-editor online. People write stories, look through an 'editor directiory', a site I'm part of, and choose the editor best suited to their story. If I'm chosen, they email me and I will work on this story. The thing is, this is a very full-time job and I'm editing for around 7 people at a time, constantly. They usually have anything up to 50 chapters, at an average length of 3000 words per chapter. I can't do this much work, especially with exams coming up...plus I spend all my free time on Advicenators now. I want to quit my editing because it's just not fun for me any more and it's too much work, but I dunno....I feel like I'll have failed if I quit. And I also feel like quitting that is a step towards quittin...

What do I have?

I've been sick for the past 2-3 days and I don't know what I have. My throat hurts really bad (but it feels like its more my tonsils). And the back of my neck is hurting really bad also, like a really bad headache, and then I also have a normal headache. I get dizzy and then I feel like vomiting. And last nite my nose was really stuffy. What do you think I have? Its mostly my throat.

Is it normal to feel you have to compete with other women?

Hi. I always think it's important for me to look prettier and do better than all women I know. Whether they are in my family or not. It's not so much friends, but especially people I hate. Is this normal? What should I do to ween myself off of acting this way?

My boyfriend is at his dads for spring break and his dad lives 3 hrs away from here. I am finding it really hard to get him off my mind. I just lay around thinking of him and waiting for him to call me. But he only calls me late so he wont get in trouble. What can i do to pass the time and get him off my mind?

how do you boost your self-esteem? mainly about your body image. i've been having a lot of trouble with my body image =\, and i don't know what to do. whenever i eat i regret eating. when i pinch my stomach i have about 4 inches of fat (and thats standing up!).. i try to keep myself away from food, but then that's all i think about & i eat alot.
