How are baby genders picked?

This is probably a stupid question but I'm deadly serious, is there a way that you can pick your gender of a baby?
And I'm wondering how does your stomache decide to create a boy or a girl? Is it by something inside that decides? If so, how?

Clearer skin?

My boyfriend has acne, just like me. I'm not sure how to help him though since mine has cleared up more since I'm on BC [only thing that worked besides proactive]. I don't know what type of acne he has anyway. He's rather pale and his face is a bit pink/red :] So his acne is.. just many bumps with no white heads or anything. Sometimes he does get a normal zit with a white head. [Which is all I get, so I'm not sure how to help with the bumpy texture] It's all over on the bottom of his cheeks and chin, so any tips/advice? I think his most concern is his skin color. How do you get rid of the redness?
Any advice/tips? Please don't say proactive [not everyone can afford it]. Preferably something you used & gave great results...

so there's this guy. i used to like him. i used to actually consider him one of my closest friends and advisors. he's 4 years older than me.
he's a jerk now. he gives shitty advice.
example:
me: I'm so sad.
him: heh. don't be sad then.
and that is the kind of advice he generally gives.
he makes fun of me with other people and then he tells me about it and laughs at me. he thinks of himself so highly that he hurts me in the process. overall: he's an a-hole.

Mental problem...seriously

I'm almost 16/f
I'm not trying to seek attention with this, I'm actually instead trying to not GET any attention...But I think I have a serious mental problem. It could be a variety of things...bipolarity, borderline, depression...etc. I'm always really sad. I always have these sick, low, depressive (if thats a word) suicidal thoughts whenever the SMALLEST things occur! I also think of myself as a masochist, as I sometimes enjoy inflicting pain onto myself ( I cut myself ) and sometimes others (I know. It's pretty bad) I just don't know what to do. My parents say I'm normal. I know I'm not.
What can I do?

My boyfriend and I haven't even been going out for a month, but I want to get past this situation.
I was at his house the other day, and his sister started talking about his ex girlfriend, who is apparently calling their house and his cell phone all the time and sending him pictures of her on his phone telling him how much she wants him back. This is going to be a strange question.. perhaps a little gross too.
I think I may have that phobia of throwing up. Yesterday I had my bf over to stay at my place for the first time. We went out for lunch that day and then out that night to a bar. Blah blah blah. After we got home he started feeling sick so I gave him an anti-nausea tablet and some water before sending him off to bed. 5 minutes later he threw up, didn't get to the bathroom in time so it got EVERYWHERE. As soon as I saw it all I started crying and screaming and I ran away. Got my mum downstairs to come clean it up while I stayed outside. When he came up I wouldn't go near him, I stayed away and spoke to him from a distance. I wouldn't even kiss him that night ...

Hey, Ik this is long, but please, help...
Ok, I'm a 16-year-old sophmore. I really like this guy that's a freshmen. We'll call him J. I just started liking him not too long ago. well i guess this isnt really sex, but it was close enough haha.
alright so recently i got fingered for the first time by my boyfriend that i realllly like a lot, but the problem is i dont see wht the big deal is. like i dont really seem to enjoy it. Lip Piercings

I've been reading up on lip irecings, I've wanted one since 6th grade, and I'm now in 9th. (14/f) alright, well my grandmother won't take me to a professional due to one being so far, and she really doesn't want me to have one. My mother, well, she'll go all crazy on me if I get it done, but I don't live with her, so yeah, after the swelling/redness goes down, I can tell her its my fake one. Ok so the main point, I'm thinking of getting a piercing kit and letting my best friend do it. Please don't yell at me & tell me to do it professionally, as I said, I've been reading. I absolutely refuse to do it myself. I've read all the risks, but nowhere actually tells you the chances of these risks...Does anyone know? And if you pierced yourself, how'd it go ?
