first cell phone, HELP!

This is the first cell phone I ever got and the first cell phone anyone in my house ever got. It's Virgin Mobile. I'm on prepaid services (that means i can pay as i go right? I won't use it a lot).
On the box in the front, it says "Be up $50 on prepaid $35 and get a $15 credit when you activate online".
What's "prepaid" and "credit"?
I logged into my account on their website and under ACCOUNT BALANCE it says:
Top up Balance: $15.00
Expires On: 04/Sep/2008
"Expires"?! and where did the $35 go?

I go to this camp & I'm in close contact with this one guy who I have a little crush on. From his body language I can tell that he's kind of into me but he's never talked to me. I smile at him but he's too shy to make conversation. Camp ends soon, how can I get this guy out of his shell?!

Whenever i wear a tampon (regular) i end up getting blood on my underwear even if i just put the tampon in 5 minutes ago. I make sure after i put one in i wipe around there so it won't but it still does. I don't want to wear a pad and a tampon because i don't like pads that much and that's why i prefer tampons but it keeps getting blood on my underwear. Why is this?

Ok, i heard that when you are tired you get bags under your eyes. Well even when i get a lot of sleep, i still have bags under my eyes. I don't know why it does it. I don't have any serious allergies that would cause it or sinuses. Also, when i put concealer on it helps a little but not that much. Anyone know why and how i can fix it?

Silas Marner- I can't read it

URG, ok, I have to read the book Silas Marner for school. I have pretty bad ADD and I can't concentrate on the book. It's SO boring, and doesn't interest me at all! Plus the fact, I don't even understand half of what's going on! Please help, I NEED to pass the test on it! How should I read it? Any summaries? HELP!

What can I do to show appreciation?

I want to start doing random acts of kindness to the people around me each day (basically my community). I know they are important to my life and I really want them to know that I appreciate having them around.
Some people I'd like to do these acts for don't really know me at all, but they are constantly around me (like coworkers and acquaintances I see daily but don't really talk to). I want to brighten their lives a little though so they know that somebody out there appreciates them being around.
Anyway, can I have ideas for random acts of kindness to various people in my daily routine?
Some ideas on how to remain anonymous would be nice too.

i have this friend i sit with at lunch, when her friends are there, i don't really have trouble finding something to say. but like today, they werent, i couldn't really find much to say. i just kept asking random questions after a short pause of every other minute. i didnt really use to talk much, so im not very good at communicating and keeping conversations going. like later on i thought of alot more i couldve said at lunch that i didnt. it wouldve helped if she tryed to start a conversation with me but she didnt. well, im getting better at conversating, i just got to do it more. but what are some tips on keeping the conversation going? and can you give me any ideas of what to say. like please dont say tell her a compliment. maybe you cou...

So I was cleaning out my room one day and I found my Nintendo Ds. I got it for one of my birthdays, from my parents. So I was on the phone with a guy I really like/love and so I offered it to him because I didn't want it anymore and I new he was looking gor one online. So I gave him it and a few games a few days after I found it. Now my dad keeps asking where it is. I keep lying and saying my friends are borrowing it. He says I need to get it back. When I asked if it would be ok with him if I gave it away as sombodys bday present he automatically said "No". I am 17 and a senior in high school. i started this job a while back and there is this guy i like there but he is 21. he's really sweet and everyone has good things to say about him. I have so much going on, and this is making everything worse. About a year and a half ago, i started going out with this guy Alex. I liked him ALOT, he was my first kiss!
