why are only girls the hoes?
why is it that when guys sleep around, most people think its ok, but when a girls sleep around, people think theyre hoes? to me it just not fair!

It's not really fair -- But this is a really common stereotype of girls, rather than guys now. Personally, I can think of a few reasons why people would be led to believe this, though some of them even apply to guys. I guess that's overlooked. >.<
-Girls, espeically in high schools can show the results better. Aka -- Two people hook up, and the girl gets pregnant. It's much more obvious and extreme than just a guy sleeping with someone.
-Girls are known as the ones who are supposed to be all sweet and subjective sometimes, while guys are masculant and dominant. Girls sleeping around would kind of seem defiant, I guess? I don't know, really.. Haha.
-It probably dosen't really count now, but in the Reniseance, guys judged girls on their purity. If they weren't virgins when they were married, that was a HUGEE no-no. And it's much more obvious for the girl. You can't tell with a guy. Therefore, it was assumed only the girls could only be considered whores.
-Girls talk a lot more than guys. More people know when they sleep around.
-It's a much bigger deal for girls than guys to sleep around. The consequences are bigger for girls in a way, so people kind of see that, I guess.
Overall, it ISN'T fair. It's stereotypical, and sexist in a way.

Most people just accept the fact that guys are sex fiends (there are exceptions) and they get praised by other men for sleeping around. However, girls are seen as ones who should "preserve" themselves and be the innocent ones.
I think either way, if a person sleeps around, it's just wrong and I don't accept only looking down on girls for it. Guys should recieve the same treatment.
Frankly, it's just ridiculous. Sleeping around is not safe and just plain awful! I agree completely with the unfairness of it all.

I always debate this at youth group, because I think this has been true since the bible days. Yes, woman is evil. We always seem to get the short end of the stick. My brother, who is 3 years younger than me, can do whatever his little soul pleases, but as soon as i step one foot outside my house, my dad starts preaching. It really isn't fair that a guy can be forgiven a billion times, but as soon as a girl has sex, she a is automatically, a whore. My parents divorced because they both cheated on each other, yet I left home and didn't talk to my mother for over a year. I guess women are viewed as "sacred", and it's dirty for us to sleep around. It's a viewpoint we're all brought up with, and we can't change it. I guess it depends on how much you care for what people think of you. You can choose to stay a virgin til marriage, or have sex when you're ready. Never let people, and their outlooks, control the way you live your life. Hope this helps <3.

You're right, it isn't fair.
But if a guy sleeps around a lot, he's basically a player. Yet a girl gets called a hoe.
Guys think it's good that other guys get around, girls don't think so about girls.
It's confusing and just how it is. But the "hoe" version of a guy is either a pimp or a player. Or a manwhore. =]
