Do we visit family with violent teen?

Several months ago our 14 year old nephew threatened to kill his 12 year old sister. He was sent to a mental hospital for 2 weeks of mental evaluations. He has been diagnosed with a slew of mental disorders and is on the edge. To keep his sister safe he has been living with his grandparents who have voiced concern for their safety. This is my husbands parents and he wants us to go visit them this August. We have two daughters 13 and 5. I have voiced concern to him that I don't want to put our girls in danger and that I don't want to go. He says he's been talking to his parents and they say our nephew is getting better, but I still don't want to take any chances. I don't want to hurt anyones feelings, but this could turn out badly if...

Swimming vs Flexibility

Right so im a cheerleading/gymnast/trampolinist
ironically i have terrible stamina, to confront this i like to swim, however i find this messes up my flexibility
is this normal.. is there something i could do to stop it?

Hair falling out?

Hello, i'm 14/f and when I shower I lose pretty much a lot of hair. I shower every day and wash my hair. So, my question is, is it normal to be losing a lot of hair? I feel like i'm gonna be bald at some point in my life :P. Not to mention that I have more hair on my left side than I do on my right because my ear sometimes shows, haha. So yeah, is it just me and I will have less hair or is it normal?

Ok so ive been an Alsstar cheerleader since 2006/7
and a trampolinist on and off since 2004.
im now 17
I recent took an intret to gmynastics, aswell as still doing cheerleading
heres the thing
i REALLY want to make it to the top (or at leasta high figure for a UK gymanst)... to be a olypician by 2012. for the olypics. posssible?
i work out alot, stretch alot
im already flexible, my muscles are... okayish. but are getting better :)
i know everyone says you need to start gym at like 6 to be an olypiain. but ive seen gymnasts who ahve started at like 12 and still made it
im so confused. i really want this.

i'm going to get the pantech link, but i wanted to make sure it was a good phone before i buy it.
the only think i ever do on my phone is text and call, and take pictures. that's it. i don't do internet or anything like that. would it be a good phone for me? and i was also wondering if it had threaded texting? just give me your review on it, if you have it. :)

What does Ahoy and Hoy Hoy mean exactly?

I know this girl at school and she's kind of weird and different. She always greets me by saying, "Ahoy!" or, "Hoy-hoy!" and I'm not really sure what to make of it. I assume it's just, "Hi!" but I don't want to make that assumption and come to find out it means something else or is a different language for something. She is particularly interested in the Japanese culture if that has ANYTHING to do with anything. "Ahoy" makes me think of pirates saying, "Ahoy matey!" but she never says the matey part so I'm thinking it's probably not the same thing.

Do your feet and nose really grow your entire life until you die?

I heard before that the only parts of your body that will always continue to grow is the feet and the nose. It really doesn't sound true to me because you don't see elderly people with huge, huge feet or noses. I am wondering if it's just one of those myths that go around. Does anyone know if it has any truth to it at all?

Bands that just disappeared overnight

Hi!
I was talking to a few girls from the year above me and they were kind of giving me a heads-up on what to expect next year at school. We were discussing some projects that I will be required to do, most likely, and I had this idea for one.
Bands, musicians, musical artists that just disappeared overnight.
We talked about it and came up with some of the 90s boybands (nsync, backstreet boys, five, lfo, hanson) but beyond that we're kind of clueless. Does anyone know of any music person or group that just suddenly seemed to disappear overnight? Like they were suddenly not popular any more. Any suggestions at all would be GREAT!

I don't really keep up with celebrity gossip but I was recently talking to my boyfriend about Lilo because he use to think she was pretty and now is skanky. Anyway, we were talking about her jail time and he said he heard she was only suppose to be in jail for 9 months. Today I just saw a glimpse of a headline on Google news (and I can't find that article now) that said she would only have to spend 9 DAYS in jail. Just curious if anybody knows...

My Co-Worker has HIV/AIDS. Should I Quit?

I know in this day that lots of people are HIV+ or have AIDS. I know they can lead decently healthy lives. Just, personally, I have never known an HIV positive person or someone suffering from AIDS, and, of course, I do not want something like this. It's just scary.
Yesterday I was at work and this new guy said something about getting AIDS tested the day before. He was talking to another guy from work that he's made friends with.
I am really feeling weird about this. I know HIV/AIDS has to be spread through blood or some sort of bodily fluids like that. I know I'm not going to just catch it from the air or just looking at him. I'm a bit uncomfortable though and I'm nervous. I won't ever know if the test says h...

Why do I feel depressed when I drink alcohol?

I drink alcohol occasionally when I go out with my friends. Everyone seems to be having a great time when we're drinking except me. I always feel really, really sad. It's weird because I could be having the best day of my life but when I start to drink I really get down and low about everything. I end up crying and really ruining the mood for everyone. I have decided not to really drink any more because of this but I'm curious why it happens. Does anyone know why alcohol changes my mood?

I lied about being on birth control pills

I have been seeing my boyfriend for almost 6 months now and we started having sex more than a month ago. Things have been going great but now I'm in this situation where I don't know what to do.
He asked me if I was on birth control pills and I had told him yes because I REALLY wanted to have sex with him right away when we started discussing it. I'm not on birth control pills though. I know it isn't good to lie but at the time I didn't think it was going to matter a lot.
We were still using condoms every single time but last night he said he wanted to do it without a condom. I convinced him to wear one anyways but afterwards he was talking about not going to use one next time since I'm already on the pill.

Should grinding be allowed at school dances?

My mom came to a school dance of mine that happened a few weeks ago. I was having fun on the dance floor and I do admit to grinding with a couple of guys and my best friend (who is a girl). My mom saw this though and was really mad at me when we left. It's like she can't stop talking about it and she keeps going on and on about it not being "acceptable" for school dances. She is considering talking to the principal about it and that is totally going to ruin my reputation and I KNOW I'm going to be made fun of because of my mom. EVERYBODY I know grinds. I am just wondering what other people think about grinding at school dances.

Is there a way to get a cheap abortion?

I've had two abortions previously and they have been very expensive $$$. I just found out that I'm pregnant again and I don't want the baby and so my first thought was to have another abortion right away. I called the clinic and they gave me the same estimate as the previous time and I really don't have that kind of money right now and don't know how I can come up with the money. Is there a way I can get a cheap abortion or something really low-cost? I just turned 18 a couple of weeks back so I don't think my parents insurance would cover it or anything either so that's kind of out of the question I think. I don't think I can ask my parents for money for the abortion this time because they already paid for the first one I had.
