I drink alcohol occasionally when I go out with my friends. Everyone seems to be having a great time when we're drinking except me. I always feel really, really sad. It's weird because I could be having the best day of my life but when I start to drink I really get down and low about everything. I end up crying and really ruining the mood for everyone. I have decided not to really drink any more because of this but I'm curious why it happens. Does anyone know why alcohol changes my mood?

hope this helps [ SuperAlice098's advice column | Ask SuperAlice098 A Question ]

Alcohol makes me really as well, so I rarely drink. On the few occasions I do, I know not to drink very much - at all - and to gravitate to drinks with lots of sugar, coolers or spirits and soda. The sugar high helps, and I’ve also found liquor doesn’t upset me nearly so much as beer. However, like you, I mostly just choose not to drink 'cause it makes me feel shitty.
