How do black people straighten their hair

I met this girl this year and we're becoming decent friends. She's black and I'm not which is no big deal. I just have a question. I never thought of it but I know black people usually have like tight curly hair. How do black people get their hair straight? Because she has straight hair. I dont want to offend her and ask her. I know its none my business but I'm curious. Really curious. How do they do it?

Best cell phone for a teen in your opinion

I'm 15 and my mom said she wants to buy me a cell phone so if I'm out with my friends and something happens I can call for her or somebody for help. She has great points because of where we live isn't the best place. Anyway, she told me I needed to do a little research online and figure out what a good phone teens have now a days that is reliable and does all these stuff it needs to do. In YOUR opinion what do you think a good cell phone is?

How to cure a sore throat fast before school

School starts back on monday and yesterday I started getting a sore throat after classes. I hate when I get a sore throat because then I dont feel like talking and then I get this weird scratchy voice sometimes. I hate it with a passion. Is there a way I can do something and get rid of my sore throat quickly before school on monday? thanks

How'd I get herpes when we used condoms?

My boyfriend has herpes. He told me before we ever did anything and I accepted him for who he is and this disease he has had to deal with. He hasn't had any sores or anything since we been together but we only been together for like 3 months and he says he usually gets sores like 1 time a year or maybe 2 if it's really bad. We always took precaution to make sure he wasn't going to infect me. I looked over his penis and we made sure we were both freshly cleaned and he always ALWAYS used a condom. So 4 days ago I was feeling weird on my vagina and BOOM theres a freaking sore. I freaked out and went to the clinic and they tested me and it came back positive for herpes. I know I got to deal with it and stuff but...How did that happen?

Okay so my ex and I broke up about four months ago and it was a reeeeeally messy break. He did a lot of shitty things at the time adn it wasn't until just about two months ago that he finally apologized to me about how he handled everything. I'm comfortable with my body but the only thing I'm not comfortable with is my labia. It's longer than normal ..which makes me SOOO unbelievably self-conscious. Even if I feel comfortable with a guy and want to have sex ..I just can't get over this. Yeah maybe they won't care ...but in my head it's such a big deal. Girls, you should know when you feel self-conscious about something it ALWAYS gets to you no matter what anyone says. I don't know what to do. ok so i met this guy about a week ago and every single night without fail hes been in my dream. and its really really confusing me. the night before i met up with him for the second time. i had two dreams about the outcome of what would happen when i would see his band play the next day. the last dream i had that night felt so realistic like it wasnt a dream at all. it was just weird, i had my head resting on his chest and i could feel his heard beating. it was weird because it was so realistic. unfortunately the dream wasnt a premonition, but still the random strange dreams with him continue...why do i keep dreaming of him..

bad pains in my head

Hey, last saturday i woke up with this really bad pain above my left eye kinda surrouding the eye kinda like pressure. As the week has gone by the pain is getting worse and worse. Today it started getting to the point where i couldnt keep my head up it was getting so bad. It feels like a knife keeps stabbing above my eye. I was sitting in the back of class and leaned my head against the wall and taped it kinda and it didnt hurt where it hit but when it hit all i could feel was the area where this pain is. Everything else wasnt bothered. When i got home today the last couple hours ive been getting dizzy and out of it. Cellulite..

I'm a skinny girl ..5'6 and weigh 118lbs and I have CELLULITE. I have it on my butt and a little on my legs. I don't understand this ..it came out of nowhere. I've always been skinny ..what can cause this? Are there any exercises to help make it less noticeable? For some reason I've heard running helps it go away a little bit. I'm not up to using any creams or getting any surgery or anything, I'm just wondering if I can make it go away at least a little bit with exercising or SOMETHING. This is the only part of my body I am not comfortable with, wish this would just go away :(

So generally speaking if a guy: stares at me, points his feet (sometimes just one foot) in my direction, touches his hair, smooths his shirt, mirrors my body movements (i.e. if i put my hands under my desk, he will to), and waves hello to me when he sees me, would it be safe to say that he likes me?

could he just stare because I stare at him and are all of those signs just my imagination? We hardly ever talk in person. I just don't feel the same about life anymore. I'm M 15. I feel like nobody likes me & tries to avoid me. I feel like I'm desperately waiting for something thats not going to happen. I'm tired of the same old krap every day. I feel like I have no life anymore. I really want it back. I don't hang out with people or go out anymore. Every activity I do is always alone. itunes 10, transferring songs between ipods

I downloaded iTunes 10 this morning and for some reason it wont let you drag and drop songs to copy from one ipod to another like older versions used to. It wont even let you copy and paste a song from one ipod into a folder on the computer.
How on earth do i work this thing?!

ok so I'm 13 and have eczema. It comes and goes, as it does for those who have it. But obviously it doesnt just happen out of the blue, SOMETHING IS TRIGGERING MY SKIN TO REACT. I have very sensitive skin. And so when i was a baby i was diagnosed with eczema. I had it on my scalp, face, and hands, neck, behind knees, and the inside of elbows. Thank god i dont have it on the scalp, hands, and i barely have any on my my face. I have a little on my neck, and a little on the back of knees. My inside of elbows are excruciating. they are red, ooze, ithcy, etc, and has a white background around it. I just got the eczema over the summer. I applied for the University Of Central Florida's Summer Session (UCF) and I am so nervous about getting in.My Gpa is about a 3.25 but weighted it's about a 3.4 or 3.5 but ACT was low and I got a composite of a 21. I took the test 2 times and and got a 21 both times.I have taken many honors courses and 1 AP class last year,(i passed the AP exam) and this year I'm taking 3 AP classes and all honors.Yet,I haven't taken many math courses. So, my boyfriend and I are having a sexual relationship, and we sleep over at each other's places quite often.
I was just wondering what are some things I could do in the morning when he's still asleep, but which would turn him on and so on. Possibly leading to morning sex, but that's not a must.

Awkward with guy friends

I've always had tons of close girl friends and I am really shy and people always tease me about liking this boy, that boy, that I feel awkward with guys. Lately though, there's this guy who I'm kind of friends with. He's very calm, cool, funny and kind. I really want to be close friends with him and hang out with him more. How do I do that without him thinking that I like him? Coz I really just want to be closer friends with him, and I don't have a crush on him or anything. I've never had any close guy friends bfore so how do I make this not awkward?
