you're 13...you don't really have a "type" yet...plus even if you think you do, you don't want to limit yourself to one type of guy so young. I'm a month away from being 15 and i don't even know what my type is. Try to date totally different types of guys and see who you're most comfortable with. If you like the guy...why not take your chances and see if you have fun? Oh yeah and always remember that what people appear to be on the outside may not always be ;-)

yesterday at the doctors i got a shot in my arm (kind of my shoulder) and it didnt hurt at all, but now today it hurts really bad it feels like i have a bruise where the shot was and it hurts really bad whenever i move my arm. is this normal or should i be concerned? im starting to worry. how long should this pain last? i don't know what shot you got, but it doesn't really matter, even though, it was probably a tetnus shot, or a flu shot. Um, they should have told you to move your arm around a lot so it doesn't hurt the next day. So what i would do right now, is move your arm a lot like in circle's and do it whenever you think about it. Otherwise the pain will around like 3-4 days. But if you start moving it around a lot, then hopefully it will stop hurting tomorrow night. And yeah, i'm not a doctor, but that's happened to me before, and it's always been perfectly normal.

they'd be cute at the bottom part of your leg with some high heeled pumps, pointed toe, or rounded toe is really in this season. I'd wear it with a mini skirt and a fuzzy sweater top.
Make sure to wrinkle the leg warmers and make them touch your ankle

OK, well there's a double standard out there so you're lucky you're on the right side of it. Most of the time, it's viewed as 'OK' and most of the time even hot for a girl to like girls too. But then the double standard part is that a lot of people don't like when guys like guys.
I don't see a problem with neither even though i'm straight. I have made out with a girl before though, once, but it's not because i liked her.
It's perfectly ok to like a girl. Most guys even think it's hot when two girls are together. I will warn you to be careful though, find out about the girls you like first....find out if they're up for it before you judge and make them uncomfortable.
A lot of girls i know today though are at least bi-sexual so really it's not that big of a problem and don't be afraid or scared cuz it's perfectly ok :-)

Well, maybe you're getting intimidated by boys. If they're really cute it may make you feel embarassed to talk to them. What i would do, is try to find a common interest between you and them. Like say, if you like rap music (which i don't but we won't go there cuz a lot of people do) so yeah if you like a sort of music, and so does he...just go up and have a casual conversation with them. If you start off talking about them, or something they like...they'll probably like to talk about themselves. Try to talk to the guy's friends about what they like to do. If he's in to sports, try to ask him what his favorite sport is and their teams...then ask why he likes them and stuff like that. Once you have a casual conversation going, it will probably lead into better thing :wink wink: lol

well there's two possibilities here, it depends on if you like the fun look or the naturally pretty look.
For the fun look, do color's, color coordinate your eye shadow with your shirts or outfits. It really doesn't matter if you use powder or creme eye shadow. Blend it lighter on the bottom and get lighter towards your brow. What i would recommend you to do, is say for example your shirt is blue, then get some blue eye shadow and put it on the crease of your eyes like when you blink. Then follow it with a darker color towards the end of your eye, and at the top like underneath your brow, put a light kind of neutral white or off-white color shimmery color. Then curl your eyelashes and wear black mascara. Get some black eyeliner and put it on really thin. Since you have long eye-lashes, only put it on the top from the corner of your eye until where the dark eyelashes start. On the bottom, put it on the crease towards the inner part of your eye, and then do it really thin underneath the lashes starting from the corner all the way to the otherside.
What i like though is the more natural color's. Since you have brown eyes, i don't know what your color skin is, but if you have pale skin, get a darker brown metallic color and put on the crease of your eyes, make it darker at the outer part of your eyelid toward your ear. Then do the same light color underneath your brow. If you have medium to dark skin, get a light cappuccino or latte type of brown metallic color and do the same thing. Get a brown or black eyeliner and mascara and do the same thing i said for the blue color.
Sorry if that's confusing...it's really not confusing to do lol
I typically only use a black eyeliner and mascara though...doing the same technique i said before with the eyeliner. Then get a pink color blush, and some pink (pink's are in this year) or a silvery pink color lip gloss. If you have pale skin though, i would go with the pink or a mauve color lip gloss.
It really all depends on the look you're going for

DON'T go to a place in the mall...they charge twice as much. I always go to http://cutepcs.com and they have a lot of things like flashing ones, regular ones, anything you want practically. Plus they typically have free shipping so you save a lot more!

People say that love has no age, but i think that's all B.S. it's not the end of the world, but i do think it's wrong on the guy's part. I mean, he's 24, that's 8 years older...which means, when he was 16....she was 8 just in second grade. Not only is it weird, but it's illegal. I hope she knows this guy well and she's careful, because some people would call him a pedophile because she's still a minor. Maybe she loves him or just really impressed but what she thinks he is, but i'd be careful.

ok..i really need help..me sister liked my boyfriend. We went away for like 2 weeks and then came back. But she told someone that she hung out with my boyfriend and they were holding hands and she said he told her he liked her but he couldnt go out with he because he's with me. This was a while ago but I just found out and now it's really bothering me. I've talked to him about stuff like this before and he said he would never do that. And my sister has been known to lie about stuff..I just don't know who to trust..And I can't talk to my b/f about it because hes away and wont be back until like next week. I've been in a whole different mood and everything since I found out..Ive been crying over it since I found out like a couple days ago..Please help..What should I do to get my mind off of it..And what should I say when he comes back and I can talk to him..And should I trust my sister anymore? :'( and sorry this is soo long.. Talk to your sister, i mean in reality...even though siblings can be annoying, they're still you're family and they'll hopefully always be there. I mean you live with them so it's better off not to have tension.
Tell her exactly how you feel...she should feel guilty. If it's true, and she did that to you, she should feel awful and she should at least care about you and your feelings.
If it is true, ask her to never do that again...i don't know if you can trust her, but at least it's a start.
Then, have one of your friends keep and eye on her when your boyfriend comes back.
When he does come back....do the same thing. Talk with him, i mean he's your boyfriend...there's no use in having him around if he's going to cheat on you with you SISTER! So if he doesn't understand, he wasn't worth it. But hopefully he will...maybe he was just trying to be nice to her.

if you've hung out with him all summer, talk to him about it. You should know him well enough to have a serious conversation and just tell him something like "i know that we like eachother, and i'd really like to have some alone time with you, but my friend always seems to tag along...she's really important to me, but i just wish i had more time with you" and then see what he says. Eventually ask him how he feels about her.
I would also talk to your girlfriend, tell her that you and the guy like eachother and you value yours and her friendship enough to talk to her about it. Just talk it out with her, ask her how she feels about her and re-inerate how much you like the guy. Just tell her that you'd like to hang out with him alone

that's always hard :-(. But typically when a guys in love with you, they'll still want to be around you no matter what. So just let him down easy, since he's in love with you, he should understand and at least let you talk about why you don't feel the same way anymore. Say you still want to be friends, and make him feel important. He'll be really upset, there's no way to get around that, but at least y'all will still be friends, and maybe even hang out a few times.
That's my advice...i know it's a hard thing to do but there's really no other way :shrug:

haha i live in a small town too, and i really dislike it, but we won't go there. I mean it doesn't even have 1000 people in it!
See, in my town, they don't let us do anything because on the board is some rich old people who don't even want any fast food shops in the town or anything. Hopefully your town isn't like that so yeah..
Here are some ideas:
Go skateboarding, a lot of little towns are really old, and they have awesome places to grind and what not. (i did until they banned skateboarding)
If there's a lake in your town, you can always go out on some piers and goof off or to the beach.
Get a job! in little towns, jobs are fun because in little business's there are down to earth people and a lot of times you see and talk with people you know.
Try to start a youth center, in my town we rented a basement out of the old schoolhouse, and we sectioned it off into tiny rooms. There are rec. rooms, a main room with a pool table, there's a gym and etc. Try to get your parents or older kids of legal age to come help run it, because some parents don't like their kids at a place with no supervision. You can also do fun things like car washes with your friends or competitions or other fund rasiers to raise money to help get a place started and buy stuff for it. Fund rasiers are fun all in their own. Also, for couches and whatever you can just go around asking people if they have any old things they'd like to donate or try to find a good-will/resale store. It's a lot of fun trust me.
Try to get involved in as many school activities as you can...they take up a lot of your time, and you also get to chillax with your friends.
do your homework...haha jk.
talk to your parents about sleepovers and things like that that you can do with more than one friend.
Hope i gave you some ideas...i still don't think there's much to do here but sit and watch the corn grow, but that's only because the town banned so much stuff
like i said, hopefully yours isn't the same way!

i like 2 guys...nathan and michael. I think i would have a better chance asking michael out, but i barely see him at school, and i like nathan more. i eat lunch with nathan and whatever other guys we decide to go talk to. we always have so much fun and we're always laughing. i've liked him longer than michael...and every time i think about him i get all tingly inside. i thought about him alot in 3rd period today, and i did it so much that the tingling began to hurt :). but....anyway...should i ask out michael or nathan?

Well, if you like nathan more you wouldn't just want to 'settle' for michael, i mean i'm sure michael is a great guy, but if you really like nathan more, then you're going to think about him more. And in the long run, you won't be happy because number one you'll always want to be with nathan while you're with michael. and number two, it's not really fair to michael for his girlfriend to be wishin for another guy.
So my advice is to go for nathan...and if you get rejected (which i doubt you will from the sounds of it) then just stay friends with him and you'll probably end up like michael more and eventually have a relationship with him.
So either way it should work out! and yes i've been through this before lol :-)

Well...if you know nothing about it, and he isn't in your class. The best way to start the conversation out would be like, "I think soccer is really cool, but i never played so i don't know much about it. What's it like? is it hard? It looks like a lot of work"
Then keep asking questions like how long he's played, and about the team or whatever! Then he's already talking and eventually the subject should change and turn out nice ;-)

ok...just because someone wears certain clothes and looks like they would be in a certain 'category' or 'label' as some call it, doesnt mean that they have those interests...they might just like the clothes. so why dont you stop labeling and judging people, because its really rude, especially when you dont know anything about them. lol...i don't judge people. Well maybe i do, but *generally* when people wear clothes that say AC/DC or....van halen or Pink Floyd for example they like classic rock, so if it's something like that i would go up to them and be like oh i love classic rock and go from there. Or, if they're a jock type of person, and they wear a hat and a shirt that says maybe...chicago bears on it, they obviously like football and the chicago bears so start a conversation from there.
Lol....that wouldn't be judging....because it's a common interest and it's observation.

What are some good topic starters for meeting a guy? I go to a girls school so I don't get to meet them that often. But if I see a guy in public, what should I do to get him to talk to me (Or what should I say to talk to him) Without looking like a fool? What are your strategies for meeting a guy you don't know? When you see a nice looking guy, you may like, it can be so easy! Most guys like either, music or sports. So i can generally judge what type of catagory the guy goes in like prep, jock, emo, rocker, gotchic whatever. I mean it's pretty easy to tell, so if they're preppy i would say...where did you get your shirt? or i love your hair, cuz normally preppy guys love to talk about themselves. If he's a jock, then ask him what sports he plays etc. If he's emo, then ask him if he likes emo music. If he's a rocker...ask him if he's in a band or something. And if they're gothic..i. really don't know about gothic lol cuz they don't typically appeal to me.
But yeah, my advice is to just be very subtle and bring up topics that they seem to be interested in, i mean most people, especially guys like to talk about themselves so then you have a great conversation going!
And yeah...great conversations can generally lead to other 'great' things haha!

talk it out with him, you said he was a great friend so if he's worth having as a friend/boyfriend he'll understand. Tell him how you feels, and if he really likes you, he'll take it to heart and try to act better. And hey, no guy is worth not feeling happy, so no matter how much you think you're going to hurt him, he said he loved you so he'll still want to be friends.
Once again you can only hear so much advice, you have to make decisions on your own, think about the consequences to both of your actions. Like if i stay with him, i'm not gunna be happy and i'm gunna hate hearing him say he loves me when i can't say it back. Or if i break up with him, what happens if he doesn't want to be friends? is he worth losing, even though i'll be happy?

I'm going to be a junior in high school and I have no idea what I want to major in, where I want to go, or even what I really want in a college. How can I start narrowing down the search and decide where I want to apply?? (link)

Go talk to your guidance counselor (sp? lol) at your highschool, normally they can either 1) help talk to you about your interests, and then narrow it down from there, or 2) refer you to a person that can.
Otherwise, what i would do is a huge web type thing. Mentally or draw it out on paper. Think about the things that really interest you, like sports, reading, psychology, art, acting, singing, playing an intstrument, math, science, etc. and then think about all the jobs that go along with those and decide if those are subjects in any courses you'd be interested in.
Then, decide what you want in a college. Do you want to have a degree from an Ivy League school? or does that not really appeal to you? If money is an option, decide on whether to go to a nearby school or what not.

my friends parents didnt save up money for her to go to college and they tell her that she cant live away from home and has to go to community college or the one nearby even tho she wants to go away - shes smart tho, like she gets good grades and stuff just not high enuf to get a large scholarship and i feel bad bcuz she doesnt have much options and i do ~ is there any way to help? My parents and i talk about this all the time. Well if she's pretty smart, then hopefully she'll get a partial scholarship. That should cover hopefully half of it, then there's always the other half, and the books/ room and board. I always like to think that there are 2 options.
Number one, she could do what her parents want, and go to a community college close by. She could live at home and just drive back and forth, then she would save the costs of room and board. Hopefully she has a good relationship with her parents and they won't put restrictions on her if she does live there. Other wise maybe she could go to the closest 'real' college and commute there and still live at home.
Or, she could get a partial scholarship and go away for college. There are always school loans she could take out, and you don't have to start paying them off, until she gets her first job after graduating. Maybe even her parents could make payments with her on her school loan like half and half or just help out a bit. Also she could do that, and try to get a cheap apartment and get a roomate to cut costs.

i start school in a little over a week on the 30th of this month and i got gym and i heard we have to take showers in front of everyone and i dont want to...what can i do to get out of it and make it look like i took a shower? and do people talk about your body parts to other people that are in that class? helppppp! hey they said that for our school too, and yeah, no one ever does. But in case they do enforce that rule, and you have to fake it...just sneak out to the bathroom with a towel and get your hair wet under the sink...maybe wash it if you want to. Then dampen your visible skin a little for an extra effect lol. Then i would have some perfume or body spray so you can spray on yourself to smell extra good, and put on deoderant...no one should ever know! lol
