Alright, Im 13 and a girl, I weigh 100 lbs, and I am about 5'6. My question is, am I overweight, underweight or average?

Hey. Well, your BMI [body mass index] is 16. That is REALLY low. You must be very skinny, because for 5'6, 100 pounds is underweight! You should probably for your height be around 110, Im guessing. Talk to your doctor about how to HEALTHILY gain weight.

I used to be able to sing "okay" But then I became a cheerleader for 7 years and now I sound like a man when I sing. I'm afraid to sing in the car to the radio or when I'm goofing off with my friends because I hate my voice and no one else likes to hear it. Is there anyway to make my voice any better? I love singing but I hate my voice!

I take voice lessons & singing is my LIFE! Haha, anyways, I think voice lessons would be really good for you. Also, DONT scream. Try to avoid even talking loudly - rest your voice after all that cheering. Unfortunately, 7 years is a long time, so I suggest going to a doctor who specializes in vochal chords. You may have seen this on the Ashlee Simpson show last year. But, anyways, you should also drink green tea with honey or lemon - it tastes amazing and is also really good for your voice. It makes it clearer. Another drink good for the voice besides obviously water, is orange juice and cranberry juice. My friends mom taught me that when I was little, and it actually works! Dont scream kelly clarkson songs at first, just use your head voice which is when your using a soft voice for high notes, like Mariah Carey when shes not belting. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I've gone through a lot of changes in the past year and have become genuinely stronger and improved as a person, but there's still one thing I really hate about myself.

I'm completely, hopelessly addicted to the internet. I have been for a really long time now. Some times are better than others, but right now is one of the bad spots. I guess it's not as bad as I make it sound. I have a healthy social life; I don't ditch people to hang out on the internet, but it's still bad. I sometimes spend hours doing useless stuff on here when I could be reading a book or doing SOMETHING better.

I never tried to fix this because I never knew where to start. How do I do it? I can't just... shut off the computer. A lot of times I actually need it for school, but then I'll be doing school stuff and be lured into it, and it's not quite that easy, as addictions are never very simple to overcome. I don't want to completely stop going on IM. I just can't seem to have the will power to moderate it like others. I tell myself that I'm not going on the internet but lo and behold an hour later that's where I'll be.

I have the same exact problem. In fact, its gotten to a point where my grades are starting to dramatically drop, and Im scared I am addicted. The computer is so addicting. And I find myself checking every account I have on the internet (such as my advicenators and myspace inbox) all the time. I always feel like if Im not on the computer, Im missing something. ?

I think all you have to do is try to keep yourself busy. Thats what I do. I try to do as many activities as I can, whether its tutoring, arts, a good book, or studying. I keep myself busy so I dont drift off to the computer. Because once your on, its hard to get off.

Also, sticking to a specific schedule helps, too. Like, no computer UNTIL all your homework is finished. I know this is hard but what I do is get my parents to help me! And TRUST ME - they want to help you! Ask them to monitor your computer use. Set a time limit - 2 hours on the computer a day at the most, and I hope that is spread out. So say, an hour after your homework and an hour before bed. Just an example for you.

Make sure if your parents are monitoring it well enough, you set a timer to tell you when your time on the computer is done. Or even better but harder, ask a friend to call you at such and such time. (Dont tell them its to "moniter your computer use" though!) haha.

Guys can be REALLY confusing and not to mention moody! One minute their fine and funny, and the next they're mean and throw out rude comments. We dont really think of GUYS this way because they always criticize US (girls) for it, right? Plus, they dont have PMS and arent known to have the same chemical imbalances that girls have that make us sometimes moody. BUT, guys do get it. They just wont admit it. Sadly, the girl below me is wrong. I dont think you should talk to him about it, for the reason that he probably DOESNT want to talk things through and have drama (most guys dont.) I think maybe hes been having a lot of stress on his hands lately. Sometimes, thats how boys reacct to things - by being mean to other people to take out their frustration. And you probably (not offensively or anything) might have gotten in his path at a bad time and he lashed out at you for no reason.

I would invite him to your party - theres no reason he would be nice to you and then hate you one day. Maybe talk to one of his friends and see whats up with him lately. But, still he would probably be really bummed if you didnt invite him.

Why does everyone think you HAVE to believe in something? Do you feel it's wrong to not put faith in a religion? I'm not religious in the tiniest bit. I know some people think that you never know what you're missing out on until you try it. However, I've never even cared or have been concerned with trying to find religion in my life. Why is religion so important?

You dont have to believe in a religion, everyone has different views on different things. My friend is ATHEIST & I think that is what you may be. It means you dont believe in a God or religion. It does NOT mean that youre a satanist who worships the devil, you just dont have any beliefs whatsoever about religion. Some atheist people believe that it was all science that created the universe and mankind. Some dont think that, though. Religion is ONLY important to one person's heart and beliefs. No one can make you believe anything and if they try, thats just stupid.

I always worry when I'm home alone. Like I always think the worst. I don't know if there's something wrong with me or what but I am always thinking of what would happen if robbers broke in. I just know I would pass out. Because I know if I hear something in the house I will get real nervous and start to feel like I am gonna faint. Could their be something wrong with me? Or is it just all in my mind?

Oh. My. God. I got that today! I was home alone and all the sudden I start to hear all these noises and I get so scared (of everything, Im sure Im more afraid than you) and its totally stupid but the noises were just my dog. It was all in my mind, but I thought it was a ghost or something. Its totally fine to feel scared. What I do is:
.Put on the TV (good things, not scary movies or shows)
.Make sure the doors are all locked & everything.
.I always have my cell phone on, charged, and with me for emergencies.
.I usually talk on the phone when Im scared.
.Turn on music.
.MOST OF ALL, try to get your mind off it. Theres very little chance something can happen to you. Plus, people survive trauma.

I really feel awful right now so I'll sum it up. When I got to my last class today a friend told me I was really stained. I went to the bathroom and i had blood on the back of my pants. It's so embarrasing. I feel like becoming a hermit crab. Share your experiences with me please.

Okay, if this makes you feel better, it wasnt my first time having my period but I looked and there was blood - ALL over my pants in my chorus class - last block! Thats a really weird coincidence.. anyways, people saw! Luckily, it was funny and they were nice about it and all girls but I wanted to DIE.

I had to go to the bathroom and stuff, but that was it. I made a joke out of it and laughed it off. Thats really all you can do.

Trust me, no one will criticize you for it. They all get it too and its normal.

How old are you? This isnt meant to be offensive but if youre 14 or younger, guys are a little dumb at relationships. They sometimes are just too lazy to pick up a phone and call you (I know that sounds bad.) But, you have to take into consideration that maybe he really IS busy. And not running around all the time, but needs some time to himself. Its good to have time apart from each other anyways. Especially, if you see eachother at school or during the day. If he doesnt make ANY effort to work in the relationship with you at ALL, then talk to him and tell him how you feel.

Hey, I totally know how you feel. I used to have the stupidest name ever. I was 13 at the time or whatever. It was x3Michelle04x3. 2004! K? So I shut down that site even though I had like a 4.90 or 5 or somewhere high around there. All you do is instead of SHUT down the whole column, erase all the info about you and put I MOVED TO: _____ and your new advicenators name. Thats basically what I did. And I liked starting fresh. New me, New column. Because theres no way to change your name and have the same column.

Yes, it is possible, BUT thats probably not what it is. Its most likely discharge. Which, is clearish white & gooey. Its totally normal and CAN mean your period is coming. But, some people get it all the time. Theres nothing wrong with you, dont worry. If it starts to smell foul, though, or become yellowish or brownish, you could have an infection. But other than that your healthy!

Thats really weird because my friend who is a freshman is currently dating a junior. I think its perfectly fine. Theyre only 2 years older than you. Its really NOT that much of a difference because its high school. Its also more fun to date older guys. But, in my opinion its a LITTLE more dangerous because theyre more experienced and could pressure you into things your not ready to do. :] hope this helps.

So i spent the night at my friends house.
Her brother and I were watching a movie.
He got up to get something to drink.
I put my feet on the sofa,then he came back he didnt move my feet instead he grabed a pillow and layed on me.
Then later on her grabed my hands.
Awhile after that,i was on him.
As in he was siting down,and my legs were over his.
He out his face on mine.
As if,he wanted me to kiss him.
But i just huged him.
Later after everyone fell alseep,he kissed my on my forehead.
We talked a bit,then he stole my pillow.
So i was forced to get up and sit on the floor and take my pillow back.

Wow, well it really seems like a lot of stuff happened that night. You have to realize how awkward that is. He acted like nothing ever happened because you were in front of everyone else. Plus, he was probably embarassed. He just didnt want people (ESPECIALLY his sister!) to find out. If you like him, I would talk to him about it. And figure out if he likes you or whatnot. BUT, if you think that this will ruin your relationship with your friend, then forget about it!

No (kind of) and definitely not. You cant get cancer from him kissing you. To get cancer from smoking, you'd actully have to PUT the cigarette in your mouth and smoke it. And you'd have to do it many, many years to get cancer, too. About bad breath, he wont have bad breath unless hes smoked in the past few hours. So, if he hasnt and hes brushed his teeth, changed his clothes, or used mouth wash, you wont really be able to taste it that much. If he has just smoked, you will. But, I wouldnt let that stop you - unless its really disgusting. In that case, talk to him about it.

If your talking about DIGITAL cameras, then I have a good camera for you. Mine is a Nikon (CoolPix) digital camera. Its very small but easy to work. I didnt even have to read the directions, it was so self-explainatory. The only problem is, it IS very expensive. So, I asked for it for my birthday and got it.
