Whenever I go on this certain website I get "Java Exception" followed by different numbers. The numbers aren't always the same so I don't know if that matters. Any idea what it could be or what I should do about it?

The problem can either be with the website or your computer.

To check if it's your computer, verify your Java installation at the Java website. http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

To see if it's the website, go to the website on a different computer and see if the same thing happens. (I would check it for you if you provide a link to the website. Alternatively, if you know other people who go on that website, ask them if they have the same problem.)

If it's the website, contact the administrator of the website (if there are contact details available).

I downloaded iTunes 10 this morning and for some reason it wont let you drag and drop songs to copy from one ipod to another like older versions used to. It wont even let you copy and paste a song from one ipod into a folder on the computer.
How on earth do i work this thing?!

Connect iPod to computer, then open iTunes.

In iTunes, click your iPod, and make sure the box next to "Enable disk use" is checked, then look at the iPod in your file browser.

When the iPod is connected to your computer, you should be able to see it on your desktop. From there, you should be able to explore its contents. The music is in the iPod under iPod_Control/Music.

I own a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, and have had it since January 2009.

I received an Ipod touch for my birthday last week, but my previously installed version of Itunes wouldn't let me sync any songs onto it until I upgraded my Itunes account. I did this, and everything went smoothly. I had the new version, and I got my songs synced.

My laptop was fine as far as I remember. It was slightly slower than usual, but nothing that was out of the ordinary. Yesterday my computer completely crashed. One time I tried to get on and it wouldn't even get off the "Welcome" screen. Another time it had be in Windows 98 format and sent me a popup saying my computer didn't support windows or something like that.

My stepdad called Dell's support center, and they charged us 60 dollars for inadequate service. The man we talked to was rude and unhelpful. He literally did nothing we hadn't already done, so that's 60 dollars of ours down the drain. He told us my Intunes caused a conflict, and that's what made my computer crash. He put us in to contact with another call center who wanted to charge us 120 dollars, and we just couldn't afford it. We told her no thanks, and hung up.

I still have a computer that isn't working though. I am so pissed off. I was under the mindset that Itunes was a reliable source, and I could download from Apple without hesitating. Obviously I was wrong? I need that computer for college. All of my notes, papers, study guides, everything is gone. I hate myself for not backing up my files, but I didn't think I needed to?

I guess my questions are these:
- Do you have any idea how I can fix my computer without paying a crapload of money?
- How am I supposed to get songs onto my 200 dollar ipod if I can't even trust the source that puts it on there?
- Can I sue Apple? lol.

iTunes itself is overall reliable. If your laptop was fine after you upgraded iTunes and then only crashed afterwards, I'm not sure if it is iTunes that is directly causing the problem, because I wouldn't think that it is able to cause that much damage. (Personally, I dislike iTunes anyway. There are alternatives, and many of them work well. Whether you trust them is up to you.)

Always backup your files. Nothing is 100% reliable.

I've seen Vista in action and wouldn't recommend it. Window 7 is meant to fix all the problems that Vista has. I haven't used it myself, but I've heard that it's better than Vista.

As for whether you should stick with what you have, ask yourself, why do you want an upgrade now? Is there something that your current OS won't do? (Say, are there specific applications that it won't run?) Go for it if you need it.

Also, are you really using Windows 2003? From what I can find online, it seems to be a server operating system.

i have a 3rd generation ipod nano with video. I'll be listening to a song, and when it goes to replay a song, it'll say its playing but it'll be stuck at 0:00. it happens 2 to 3 times a day. What i normally do is hold the play and menu buttons until it restarts and it will be okay. Is there any reasoms why its doing this?

Does this only happen with a specific song? If yes, delete the song from your iPod and get a new copy of it from the computer.

Otherwise, using iTunes, check for software updates. If there is an update available, install it and see if the problem persists.

If all else fails, backup everything you have on the iPod and restore it to factory settings. I repeat, BACKUP FIRST!

i just have a couple of questions about the sims 3 game. first off, my sims have raised their kids to adults but i can figure out how to get them married. they all have girlfrinds and boyfriends but i cant do anything else. i thought maybe it was because i have a full household but i figured i could make them move out. i cant do that though without making the new home the active home. if i make the new one active, can i still go back and play the house i have now? thanks so much in advance.

After your Sims who you want to get to marry are going steady, make sure they have full relationship bars and get them to do some romantic interactions until the box in the top corner says that "[other Sim] thinks [active Sim] is irresistible". There should then be an option for them to get engaged, and then they can either have a private wedding or a wedding party.

hey about the myspace question i did that and it doesnt come up..it just says on the top below the header its in lite mode to switch back go to the box on the header and there is no box..im getting frustrated lol.

Friends list on what? Facebook? MySpace?

On either of these sites, click "Friends" on the top of the page, find the relevant person's name, and there should be a link that allows you to remove them as a friend.

I was wondering whether it was worth buying the sims 3 for mac. Does it include everything all the sims 2 programs had. For instance, I was thinking of buying nightlife, university, and vacation for sims 2. Does sims 3 have features where you can go out places and/or go on vacation, etc. b/c I'm not sure whether I should ust stick w/ the expansion packs or buy the sims 3

The Sims 3 has a fixed number of shops in the town and a few public areas such as parks, beaches, a gym, a library, and two swimming pools. Shops are "rabbit holes", meaning that Sims go inside and you get a menu to buy stuff, but you don't get to see what's inside.

So, in terms of the town, The Sims 3 is actually LESS customisable than The Sims 2. Also, vacations and university are not available. (It is of course entirely possible that such an expansion packs may be released in the future, but don't hold your breath.)

The Sims themselves are more customisable in that you can have custom colours for just about everything, but the ability to create custom content is limited.

Other aspects of gameplay also differ between the two games. For example, in The Sims 3, Sims have traits instead of the personality points in the older games, and these allow for more complex personalities. Moods are handled by moodlets instead of the Aspiration Meter. The way careers work also differ.

Overall, I'd say The Sims 3 is pretty good, but if you already have The Sims 2, you might be disappointed by some of the changes. If you're into building community lots with shopping, it might not be such a good idea. However, if you're interested in creating Sims with more interesting personalities, it would be worth it.

Hi, my ipod is a 30 gb video ipod.. i've had it almost three years.

i've tried reseting it, and pluging it into a computer, pressing different sets of buttons, and just turning it off. it wont do ANYTHING.

Also, i dont think this has anything to do with it, but if it helps my LCD screen on it, is kind of broken and theres parts of it where the screen is dark when the light is on, but you can see it when the light is off...

i know how to view previous msn conversation history on msn but how do i see the webcam sessions that i have had? cause all i see when i try to find it is just the text of what we were saying

In the text history, there should be something along the lines of "starting viewing webcam with (name)". (Look at the window next time you start viewing someone's webcam.) That will tell you whether you were on webcam with someone during a conversation.

If it's the actual video that you want to see, I can't help you with that because MSN does not keep video records of your webcam sessions. (Imagine how much memory that would take.)
