advice

can it really make your hair hard & stickey???

Yeah it does, I've done it before. You're basically putting sugar in your hair and it's pretty gross, to be honest with you. You put it in, your hair gets sticky and hard and if your hair gets wet at all, you have red/whatever color Kool Aid dripping down your neck and back. There are other options for temporary hair color if you are allowed to color your hair.

Okay. my friend was telling me about how one of her friends found this website where she could edit a picture of her self to see what she would look like with different hair styles/hair colors
i was wondering if you knew any websites like that?

If you go to clairol.com and sign up, you can use the Try It On Studio.

I really wanna scrunch my hair

i have thin straight hair

Is there any possible way i can scrunch it

If So HOW?? and What can i use??

Thanks♥

I always use a little bit of mousse and gel. Just put it on and rub it in, then scrunch and twirl your hair around your fingers. There are also curling/scrunching sprays. You just have to look for them in the hair product aisle. I believe Pantene and VO5 both make these products.

I want to get my nails done, but my parents this its a waste of money. So I want to do it myself I want to do french tips and I was wonderin how I should do it. How should I do the tips cuz I can never make it even? Do you think it would look ugly if I did two different colors on one nail like half one color and the other half another?

They have French manicure kits at places like Wal-Mart. They come with the nail polish you need and strips to help you section off the colors (the white part on top, and then the clear/pinkish color on bottom). I also think it would look cool if you did two different colors. It would be different.

does anyone know a good hair straightner?

thanks

CHI is one of the best, but it can be on the expensive side, about $100. I personally like my Revlon straightener, it's white with gold plates. I got it at Wal-Mart for around $20. A picture is here, along with a review: http://www.epinions.com/content_140277419652. All of my friends use it, and we're all happy with the results.

i'm 14/f, and i need new sneakers. can anyone recommend me any brand of sneakers(not nike because EVERYONE has them) or any kind of sneakers that they think is really good and looks really nice?

I personally like Vans. I think they're the most comfortable, at least for me. Some other brands are Etnies, Adidas, K-Swiss, Converse, DCs.. Try checking out http://www.journeys.com, http://www.pacsun.com, http://www.zappos.com (you have to order them online here, there's no stores), and http://www.dswshoe.com/index.jsp.

hey
is there any way to deal with baby hair i have alot and i dont know what to do about and it sucks.

I definitely have that problem. It gets really bad when it's humid outside. The only thing I really know of is to use gel or hairspray in the morning and comb it down.

OK, my hair is just about shoulder length, maybe a little bit longer. It's thick and reallyyyyy wavy and frizzy. If i straighten it at night, like right before i go to bed, shood i keep it up or down overnight? Which will help it stay straight?

The times I've straightened it at night, I just left my hair down. You might have to touch it up in the morning though. If you put it in a ponytail, you'll probably get a bump in your hair. That's what happens to me.

hey i was wondering if stridex pads really work...are they cheap?? answer soon! i rate!

I've personally never used them, but I found reviews online written by people who have: http://www.epinions.com/beat-Skincare-Blemish_Control-Stri_Dex_Medicated_Pads_Maximum_Strength/display_~reviews

Just reading through them, people said they dried out your skin a lot, and they sometimes hurt. But I would definitely read through them, see what results other people had. They cost about $4-$6.

I have long straight hair and I part it on the side and I want to get sweeping bangs. I want them short enough to be able to leave them out when I put the rest of my hair up.. but I don't want them to get in my eyes and be annoying. So how long should they be?

The end of your nose might be a little bit too long. Try to the bottom of your eyes or your cheekbones instead. If you're really not sure though, talk to the stylist when you get your hair cut, and see what they suggest.

Hey All!
Homecoming is a way away, but I am currious. I have never gone to a dance before. My boyfriend and I are going to most of the dances at both of our schools this year, because it is his senior year. I already have a dress for Prom. and it is floor length. I wore it in a wedding.

So, is homecoming like prom at all? Do you get an almost to the floor dress? a knee length? what? What are good colors?

Is it a huge deal? How much should one spend on a homecoming dress.

What about shoes?

its in September or October. (I cannot remember!)

thanks so much in advance.
I'll rate and leave feedback!
-SLeK-

I know in my school, homecoming is NOT a big deal at all. It's definitely not as formal as prom is. Probably just a knee length dress would be better, with some cute heels. The best thing to do is ask around, see what people normally wear. As for a purse, it really depends on your outfit. But you probably only need a wristlet or a clutch, a little handbag at the most.

my hair is SOOOOO frizzy, i cant stand it anymore. how can i get it to stop frizzing so much? is there a good shampoo/conditioner etc.?

will rate high!!
~thanx

I would suggest Frizz-Ease by John Frieda. I've heard very good reviews about it.

There is also a Frizz-Ease shampoo, and a review of it is here: http://www.epinions.com/content_173123669636.

I put eyeliner on the bottom lid. The pencil stuff smears so I decided to use liquid. Well with the liquid stuff, I put it on the skin-colored barrier between the skin and the red part right above the eyelash. Does liquid eyeliner ever dry? How long does it take to dry?

Liquid eyeliner eventually does dry, I'm not sure of an exact time because I don't use it. I would say about 5-10 minutes though; I've had friends use it before.

I am just wondering if anyone has used the Jergens lotion that has a hint of self tanner, so that over time you get a natural looking tan? If so, does it really work? Any tips?

Yeah, it works pretty well. Just make sure you apply it very evenly, let it dry, and wash your hands afterward, or else you'll have orangey hands.

i want to dye some of my hair with this "Loreal Color Pulse", I need to know the price. has anyone ever used it? and does it work good? and i need the price of it at a local Walgreens Or CVS cuz i want to buy it but im not sure how much it is.thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

I've used it before, and I wasn't very impressed with the results. I dyed it using the Iced Coffee, and it didn't turn out very well. It turned my hair kind of orangey. It might've been because my hair was still a little highlighted from the year before. So don't use it if your hair has been dyed or highlighted before. By all means, it is cheap and isn't permanent, so it's worth a try. If you don't like the results, you can just wash it out in 7-10 washes.
At Walgreens, it is around $5.49.

what are some good hair straighteners that won't really damage your hair alot

Straightening your hair will of course damage it. The best types of straighteners to get are ceramic ones with gold plates. I use a Revlon straightener, and I personally like it very much, and my friends would agree. It was around $20 at Wal-Mart.

ok so last summer i got a haircut rite? it came out HORRIBLE, too WAY TOO short! i was so embaressed. so i went to a professional place and it got even worse. i was ALWAYS getting made fun of and i hated it. well the past school year i whore my hair up every single day! now i want my hair to grow really long but since the last haircut i got was a year ago, i dont think my hair will grow. i dont want to "get a trim" cause i want it to grow! should i just snip a tiny bit of hair off myself? please help!

You shoould go get a trim. A trim will make it grow faster. It will get rid of any split and dead ends. It will also make your hair look a lot neater. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself because you never know what will happen.

i am 5'4 im tall skinny and have long legs and i can never find any clothes that fit me they are either to long or too fat and i want hot clother where do i look? please help me out.

i rate high

My friend is even taller (5'8"), and she tends to buy Levi jeans, if that helps any. You can try Old Navy, Aeropostale, Hollister.. You just need to try on many different styles and types of clothing to see what works for you the best.
