French tips
I want to get my nails done, but my parents this its a waste of money. So I want to do it myself I want to do french tips and I was wonderin how I should do it. How should I do the tips cuz I can never make it even? Do you think it would look ugly if I did two different colors on one nail like half one color and the other half another?

okay take tape n put it on the bottom half of ur nail n then paint the top where the tape isnt to make the french tip n you can make it as big or small as you want with the tape. As long as u do the bottom half with a light color it should look fine

hey hun, i get mine done at a salon. but if you want to do it go to a beauty supplie store and get a kit. some kits come with this tape you put over your bottom of the nail so the tips are tapless. than just paint on the tips so its perfectly straight.

They have French manicure kits at places like Wal-Mart. They come with the nail polish you need and strips to help you section off the colors (the white part on top, and then the clear/pinkish color on bottom). I also think it would look cool if you did two different colors. It would be different.

alls i do is i tape off the bottom and paint them white then i put a clear coat over them

I did my own french tips for prom one year in high school and it was easy. I put a base coat on first then used a piece of tape on each nail to mark off a straight line. then i painted the tips , removed the tape and put a clear coat on.
Different colors would look awesome I think! Go for it!

Alright , well i always do my nails as a french manicure or how ever you spell it :), heres some stuff that will help you:
stuff you will need:
Nail polish remover
Nail polish, which ever colors you want them to be, if you want the top to be white then get white ( it looks the best) then get the other color you want on the bottem.
Cotten swabs, 1 or 2
What you do:
First remove any nail polish you have on ( if you have any) , then paint your whole nail the color you want to be on the bottem, let it dry for a while... Then take a cotten swab and dip it in the nail polish remover then remove an amount you want the top color to be ( thats how you make it even), then paint the top, then repeat it for all you nails

First of all, in my experience with tips I would never ever get them ever again. I had them for 6 monthes and they ruined my nails. So don't get them they are stupid.
