ok so last summer i got a haircut rite? it came out HORRIBLE, too WAY TOO short! i was so embaressed. so i went to a professional place and it got even worse. i was ALWAYS getting made fun of and i hated it. well the past school year i whore my hair up every single day! now i want my hair to grow really long but since the last haircut i got was a year ago, i dont think my hair will grow. i dont want to "get a trim" cause i want it to grow! should i just snip a tiny bit of hair off myself? please help!
xdinGyxbaBex answered Thursday July 14 2005, 2:53 pm: Dont cut your hair yourself .. you can go to a drug store or sumwhere and they will have some kind of a vitamin or something that makes your hair grow or if you have ur mom or a professional cut less than a half an inch off and that usually helps !! Hope i helped !!

lilangelshan08 answered Wednesday July 13 2005, 4:06 pm: don't cut your own hair, trust me it always ends up worse, try garnier fructis they have this line called "long and strong" it's supposed to help heal split ends, which may be why your hair isn't growing, and it is also supposed to help your hair grow out too. hope i helped

fatalxheart answered Wednesday July 13 2005, 3:07 pm: There's vitamins you can take to make your hair grow. And I think eating healthy helps too. When I eat healthy my hair seems to grow quickly.
But anyways, I do suggest a trim to get rid of the split ends. Split ends are gross anyways. [ fatalxheart's advice column | Ask fatalxheart A Question ]
cokecap_x21 answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 10:16 pm: i gues get it cut A TINY BIT OFF PERFESSIONALLY!!! In the meantime,to grow your hair, take vitamin E pills. They dont harm you because there just a vitamin. Also ALWAYS keep your hair healthy. You could also get Byeton [[sp?]] [[its pronounced By-i-ton i think...or By-ton]] But its a source of protein and it doesnt exactly focus on hair but the more protein you have and calcium you have the faster it will get to your body and your hair is made by protein [[also your nails and toenails]]You could also just drink about 2-4 glasses of milk a day and make sure you got a lot of protein in your system :) [[peanut butter is a great source of protein!!]] [ cokecap_x21's advice column | Ask cokecap_x21 A Question ]
darcyrocks answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 3:55 pm: No you should go and have a profressional snip a tiny bit of hair off.
Just about a centimeter. Then it should start growing well. I've been in your shoes. The summer before my Sophomore year of High Schoo. Actually like a week before school started. I ended up letting the girl cut my hair way too short. It sucked. But eventually it growed out. But I did have to go to the salon every three months and get the ends trimmed. That made it grow even faster.
Don't be scared to have the ends trimmed, only about a half inch, no lenght is really lost and your hair will start growing much faster.
brunetts1195 answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 1:07 pm: DO NOT i reapeat DO NOT cut your hair your self i think that you should go to a profecional and get hair extentions till you can get them off wen your hair is long enough by itself!!!!!!!!!
devilspawn_666 answered Monday July 11 2005, 7:25 pm: You should either go to a professional or have someone else cut your hair for you. It's pretty hard to see the back and get it even at the same time. If you don't have split ends, you probably should probably just leave it alone, but if you do have split ends, just have it cut off enough to get rid of the split ends. ballerina04 answered Monday July 11 2005, 6:52 pm: You shoould go get a trim. A trim will make it grow faster. It will get rid of any split and dead ends. It will also make your hair look a lot neater. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself because you never know what will happen. [ ballerina04's advice column | Ask ballerina04 A Question ]
akissintheshapeofabullet answered Monday July 11 2005, 6:19 pm: you defintly need to get a trim because it gets rid of spilt ends, and in reality makes your hair grow quicker. dont snip anything off youself because you could really be doing more harm to your hair than help.
Itz_your_luckee_day answered Monday July 11 2005, 6:09 pm: don't cut it yourself!! gah you'll totally regret it. You should get a trim just tell them about 3 cm. You also might want to ask if there are any hair products that increase hair growth. Some easy things you can do at home are stuff like massaging your scalp ((anytime.. when shampooing or jsut watching tv)) and before you go to bed or when you blow dry your hair flip your head over for about 25 seconds or so... both of these will create more blood circulation in your scalp so the hair will grow quicker. good luck
X0C0URT answered Monday July 11 2005, 5:44 pm: OMG i know exactly how you feel! I got my haircut about 2 months ago and I absolutely hate it. Hair grows faster in the summer, so just keep wearing it up for now and before you know it, it'll be a lot longer. Since it's been a year since you got it cut, I'm sure its gotten longer by now. Hopefully by the end of summer you should have the length you want, then you can see a stylist (get a good one, maybe recommended by a friend who's hair you like) to get the style you want. This time, by very specific and tell them you've had some bad experiences with hair lately and you don't want that to happen again. Hope this helped!
LoViny0ux914 answered Monday July 11 2005, 5:41 pm: "getting a trim" stimulates the hair growth and actually makes your hair grow faster. tell them to take off about 2 or 3 centimeters and then you need to brush your hair alot before bed each night because it stimulates the growth and then just let it grow and get trims every couple of months! xoxo [ LoViny0ux914's advice column | Ask LoViny0ux914 A Question ]
curliecue answered Monday July 11 2005, 5:35 pm: Trust me, getting a trim will make your hair grow like 3x faster because you cut off the dead ends. If you cut it, nobody will really be able to tell if you got a trim. I was in your situation once too. Just be patient and realize that hair isn't everything. Act as if it is stylish and cute. There's always a way to get around things. [ curliecue's advice column | Ask curliecue A Question ]
