ok my life long dream has been to study in america (university) and last night i had a dream that i was visiting america for a month or so, but when i was supposed to go back to my country.. i couldn't like things kept getting in the way so i missed my plane, and so on.. and this was really scary in the dream! so like, is this a sign? that im not gonna be happy if i get there? or that i shouldt go there? or was it just a dream?? im so scared please help! Don't worry- it's just a dream!! Dreams are generally about things we think about a lot when we are awake so that the mind can sort through them and make sense of them (sounds weird but I've done a Psychology degree!) You are probably anxious about going to a different country in the future (even if you are not fully aware of it!) and this is just your brain making sense of what you want to do in the future along with picking up a bit on little worries that you might not even realised you had as these plans you have are so far in the future! So that's probably why you dreamt about America and unfortunate things happening. Dreams do not predict the future- what you dreamt will not become reality- instead what you dreamt is just your brain making sense of your future plans! Go and study in America- I know lots of people at Uni who studied abroad and not one of them had any regrets :) Good luck!

I think it depends entirely on the situation. If the person is using the word in a derogatory manner and mean to cause offence and they got found out then yeah i guess it's possible they could get into trouble. (and quite rightly too in my opinion). However if it's two friends chatting on the internet and they're joking around and the person knows they wouldn't take offence by using "nigga" it's unlikely the person would get upset and therefore they probs wouldn't get into trouble. Basically it all depends on the relationship between the two people and how well they know each other. However in my opinion i think words like that shpuld be left well alone because not only could they be interpreted as racist but there's confusion about whether it's nastiness or not!!
Just as an aside if you were asking whether the person could get in trouble with whoever manages whatever they're chatting on on the internet i guess it's a possibility but probably not, as again it would be very difficult to work out whether the person meant it in a derogatory manner or not.

You know me better than anyone else, I'm never sad when you're around, my life has been great ever since you came along, you always put me first, nothing is ever too much trouble, your kisses give me shivers, i love it when you call/text/email (hey that could be three!!), i love cuddling up to you on the sofa, you come watch chick flicks with me, you listen to me even when im being annoying, my family loves you. Okay well I had this boyfriend and we were only going out for two weeks and then he called me and said that we cant go out anymore. I wasnt that dissapointed because we hadnt been going out for too long. But then my best guy friend sent me their conversation and the kid that dumped me was really mad he did. He only did it because someone told him it would be weird to go out with me. He just asked me out again and I know that he will dump me again because that is what he did last year too. Do you want to be with him? You don't seem that fussed but it's hard to tell from text! If you're not that bothered it's probably best to leave it especially as he has messed you around before and he listened to someone else rather than himself when it came to ending the relationship. However if you're into him you need to weigh it all up: You either 1) get back with him and risk exactly the same thing happening again or 2)cut your losses and find someone who treats you properly and doesn't mess you around. To be honest from what you've said you're not that bothered about the relationship ending and also he's mucked you around before so whats the point? If you know he's going to dump you again don't let yourself get hurt- find someone who treats you in the way you deserve to be treated!! Good luck

My friend is 14/f and she wants big boobs. She's not going to get plastic surgery(thats for sure) and i keep telling her everyone goes at their own pace. She doesnt even fit into an A cup. Ignore what's been said about eating different things and not getting enough nutrients- it's rubbish! Unfortunately the size of boobs are all down to genetics and weight. The only way it can be changed is through surgery or perhaps as a side effect from taking the contraceptive pill/ Generally, the bigger the rest of the girl the bigger the boobs and vica versa so i suppose she could try putting on weight. However, no one is ever happy with the way they look- they always want to change something or other! I'll bet even though she's jealous of girls with big boobs, other girls are jealous of her for being slim or having fantastic legs or something. Try telling her this. It's all about boosting her self confidence. 14 is a tough age because girls are always comparing themselves to other girls and thinking they don't look as good. This is a phase that pretty much everyone goes through about being insecure about themselves. Support her through it and focus on her fantastic qualities rather than the things she doesn't like about herself! I know that didn't answer your question exactly but unfortunately there's no magical medicine!!

so i finally got my mum to agree to let me have a party for my 17th next week!!

How about spin the bottle?? That way you might get to get with the boy you like! Or you could play some drinking games if alcohol is going to be involved? Or truth or dare with alcohol!! The possibilities are endless. You shouldn't worry too much though even if it's just loud music and alcohol it's still going to be a great party!!

lately my boobs have been hurting, i am pretty sure its only because they are growing really fast and ive gone up a few bra sizes.... but now today i figured i was starting my period soon so i started wearing a pad. i looked today and there was some brown liquid stuff there but no blood, i dont know what this brown stuff is. i still have not gotten my period. i do not have sex. i dont eat healthy and i have been craving weird foods lately. what could be wrong with me? It's the beginning of your period- it's absolutely nothing to worry about and completely normal. You may find that over the next few days you see some blood so you should carry on wearing pads. However if you don't see any blood it's ok that's normal too- bodies do weird things around this time! Basically it sounds as if your period has pretty much started so congrats! Always remember sisters and mums come in handy at times like this and can put your mind at rest.
(added in) period blood is a bit different from normal blood- often its a brown colour so this does sound like what it is. Don't worry too much about your vagina hurting although if this goes on for a few days you should get some medical advice.

okay everytime i walk outside in the dark by myself like i always feel like someone is there with me..its like someone is following me or watching me and when im not outside or in the dark and im inside it feels like someone is watching me through the windows. i am always turing around to see if there is neone there and i can always get a clear picture in my head of what "he" looks like. i mean i can draw him out i know exactly what the mental picture i have of this guy looks like and it really freaks me out. i mean obviously i know that no one is really there and that is all in my head but how do i make it stop?! i feel like there is like someone out there to get me... It does sound like you're suffering from paranoia. The best thing i think you can do (even though it may seem like the last thing you want to do) is to talk to someone about it. Maybe a parent or a sibling or a friend you can trust? You need help on this one and perhaps you should consider going to a doctor. This problem is more common than you may think and a doctor would fully understand what you're going through and would be able to put you in touch with someone who can help further. I'm sorry there's no magic self help thing you can do- but talking this through with someone will definitely help. Good luck

A lot of my friends are very religious, and thus have many different beliefs (religiously, politically, and otherwise) than I do. Lets just say I cried on November 3rd last year (the day after), and they pretty much jumped for joy. Sometimes when I make a comment about issues that are happening in the world they look at me oddly, like I'm a complete idiot or something. They enjoy listening to Ashlee Simpson and the like while I listen to classic rock from the 60's and 70's. In the past this hasn't bothered me much, but lately its been nagging at me a lot. Don't get me wrong. I love my friends to bits, they're the nicest people and so fun to be around, but is it possible to love them as people and completely disregard how different their mentality is from you? Do your beliefs and interests dictate who you are as a person?

You've said yourself that you have fun when you're around them and that you love them so you've answered your own question- of course it's possible to love them! Does it matter if your beliefs differ from theirs? How boring would life be if everyone was interested in the same things and everyone had the same beliefs and values? Sometimes it's good to be around those with different opinions- it helps to get balance and simply an alternative way of looking at life! In any case you obviously love their company and they love yours as they wouldn't be friends with you if they didn't so don't worry about it!

I found a pipe and a lighter in my brother's draw. I was furious because I'm am strongly against smoking. He's in college...I understand he's old enough to make his own descisions, but he has a lot going for him and I don't want him to screw up his future....What are the possibilities of what he was smoking? Like weed..tobacco?And, is there a site that has the bad effects of it, or if you guys can list some that will convince him to stop, I would appreciate it! (link)

Unfortunately as you've pointed out yourself he's in college and is unlikely to listen because you're younger. He could just be smoking tobacco which is obviously dangerous mainly because of cancer of the lung, mouth etc and negative details of tobacco smoking can be found at http://www.cancer.org/docroot/PED/ped_10_1.asp?sitearea=PED

These sites are enough to stop anyone from starting smoking but the problem is that he's already doing it. First of all it might be a good idea to find out exactly what he's smoking. Just be honest and say what you found and ask what he uses the pipe for. See what he says and say you've done a bit of research on the negative effects and you're worried about him. He may take no notice but short of doing something like telling your parents you're concerned about him you might just have to wait for him to get over this phase in his life. Hopefully a phase is all it is! If he takes no notice maybe print out info from the internet and leave it next to his pipe that might send the message home! Good luck

I am 15/f and I haven't had a crush in 2 years! Lately, I've been thinking, and I don't know if I am bi or straight! I want to be straight ..because everyone else is..and because it seems like the right way to live..but then my mind tells me that I could be bi..I am sooo CONFUSED! Yeah its perfectly normal for girls to look at other girls when they're straight, the difference is when you're actually ATTRACTED to them. It sounds to me as if you're just going through a confusing phase in your life and maybe a major reason for why you're thinking like this is because you haven't had a crush in so long and therefore you think there's something wrong. And there isn't. This probably isn't much help but time will sort all this out. You'll work through this in your own time and the time will come when you really understand your sexuality- promise!! Yes you're underage to have a sexual relationship with him and you will be underage until you turn 18. This is if you're talking about sex. Whether you're underage to have a non sexual relationship with him is a different matter but probably not a very good idea! All in all basically the law states that it is illegal to have a sexual relationship if you are under 18 in the USA. So therefore you are underage for him!

I was at a party last night with a bunch of friends. We all had our cars parked in front of the house the party was at and the actual party took place inside the house and in the backyard. Well, when the party was over, everyone went outside and found all the cars keyed, wrapped, and egged. There were some notes on some cars that said "Spoiled bitches got what they deserved" We had no idea who did it or what the notes meant until school today. A girl came up to us and was like "how do y'all like your cars now?" This is a girl that we do not get along with at all. So, we believe it's her. Oh and by the way, we've never done anything mean to her or her friends. I told my dad that we think we know who did it (he's a Lawyer) but he said that unless we have some kind of proof, there's nothing he can do legally. Is there anything we can try? (link)

Really don't know if this would work or not but just a thought- could you get a dictaphone or something (in true under-cover reporter style lol!) and get a sort of taped confession? If this girl has actually gone up to you and talked to you about the cars could you go up to her and just ask her why she did it? If shes got enough front to say what she said before its possible she could say something else that could link her to what happened. Might not work but maybe worth a try?? I dunno!

i wash my face twice a day (once in the morning, once at night) but after i was my face it gets really shiny. and its really noticable (a few people have asked me why my face is so shiny...which is really embarrasing.)....is there any product that wont clog my pores but will make my face less shiny?

Ive seen those wipes advertised that you can take around with you that mops up excess oil on your face. Im not sure of the brand but i think they're quite popular so quite a few places probably do them i think they'd be quite easy to find. Then you could just pop into the toilet every now and again and use them. Also have you thought bout altering your face wash? Maybe using one for oily skin (if you dont already) and exfoliating regularly? Good luck!

It all depends on who the seller is. Some sellers take cheques but most like paypal. PAYPAL is an independent organisation that is totally safe and in effect the buyer pays paypal and then paypal pays the seller so you are not actually giving the seller you're credit card details. It says all about this on ebay's help pages if you're still confused!
