craazylau answered Saturday April 2 2005, 6:43 pm: It all depends on who the seller is. Some sellers take cheques but most like paypal. PAYPAL is an independent organisation that is totally safe and in effect the buyer pays paypal and then paypal pays the seller so you are not actually giving the seller you're credit card details. It says all about this on ebay's help pages if you're still confused! [ craazylau's advice column | Ask craazylau A Question ]

Michele answered Saturday April 2 2005, 4:07 pm: Your mom would have register on pay pal and use her credit card there also. I have bought lots of things on ebay, there was never a problem. Butyou have to look at the individual seller, whose stuff you want to bid on and buy. He/she may take checks. They just will not ship your item until the check clears. I sold on ebay for a long time, and I did take checks. Never had a problem. paypal is perfectly safe for credit card use.

Crystal_Moon answered Saturday April 2 2005, 4:06 pm: Hi, I sell on ebay and it is completely safe, yes most sellers will take Money Orders and some will take checks. Paypal is another form of a credit card www.paypal.com and it can be used, just make sure they have good feedback and you should have no problems purchasing on ebay.
