are cigars addictive like cigerattes? are they AS addictive? will one have me hooked? thanks

Cigars can be addictive. They contain nicotine, like cigarettes, and even though you may not inhale the smoke, the nicotine can be absorbed through the lining of the mouth. I highly doubt one cigar will have you hooked, but if you don't want to get hooked then you'd probably be better of not smoking at all.

Hi! So my mom started a new business on a business site called 'Etsy':
http://www.etsy.com/shop/SentimentsShoppe?ga_search_query=sentiment+&ga_search_type=seller_usernames

It's all about different types of jars with little notes inside. there are one's for friends, boyfriends, the holidays, ones to personalize, scriptures, and the like. She's had it up for only a month now but she's really generating some interest. She's been working on it for so long and so hard, and it's everything to her, so I wanted to surprise her with something special for Christmas. I thought it would be amazing if I could get her a little spot on a tv station to talk about her product. She did it before with a different business, but the contact found her I believe.

So my main question: How do I contact someone about my mom getting a little segment to talk about her product? I don't know who to contact or what t say and really need some help. I want to make this work for my mom! Thank you so much, you don't know what it means. Happy Holidays

I would check to see if there is a phone number listed for the news station in your area. Most news stations have web sites now, too, so you could check there and look for any phone numbers or even email addresses and email someone working for the station about it.

I have got this great guy pal who's like my bestest; I constantly tell him he could be like my perfect gay guy pal if he weren't straight. Any ways he and I just graduated high school and he has finally gotten up the courage to ditch the girl he had dated all the way through high school despite the fact she was 4 yrs older than us. (creepy, I know...when she threatened me if I didn't stop talking to him i told her to chill first off because he was just my friend and that if she didn't I was going to report her for statutory rape) She was a nightmare-very controlling, a rageaholic, and abusive in more ways than one...and yet somehow, he followed her like a mosquito to a bug zapper time after time after time. So now he's FINALLY broken things off with her permanently, and he's asked me to dispose of the last prom picture of them. I'll gladly do it, but since his house burned down a few years ago, he doesn't me to burn it and since his dog got accidentally killed in a garbage truck (long, sad story there) he doesn't want me to throw it the trash or even shred it and throw it in the trash. That eliminates both my fave way I would've handled this and the next best idea...which basically exhausted my list of ideas. So do you have any other possible solutions?

Those would have been my choices, too. This is a really tough question. The only other ways I can think of would be to bury it, or throw it in water. You could tie the picture to a rock, then throw it into a lake or pond. The water would eventually destroy the picture. Sorry, that's about all I can think of.

So, my boyfriend is trying to get a job. He applied to places and I asked him to follow up with some phone calls to the places he applied to. It's worked in the past for me. I actually went in to one place I worked a few times before they considered me. I called and e-mailed the place I'm working now MANY times before I got a call. I just think that it's better than sitting patiently and waiting for an answer. And you can always get a better answer if you make an extra effort. However, he just thinks it's the worst idea ever. We fight about this and I'm second guessing myself. Am I crazy and way too persistent or have other people done this as well? Or are you an employer that has gotten follow up calls? What's your opinions on this?

Thanks

I think it's a very good idea to call places you apply for. I've done it before, & I tell all of my friends to do the same thing. A lot of them worry that they'll just get on the employer's nerves, but in my opinion it shows that you really want the job & that you're willing to put some effort into getting it.

how do you make an image with text on the border like this? I see it quite a bit so i figure its made custom but same style, like userbars

http://www.facebook.com/pages/PROCRASTINATORS-UNITE-tomorrow-though/202985618799?ref=sgm&v=wall#!/photo.php?pid=3951971&id=202985618799

Those are usually called motivational posters. There are quite a few sites where you can add your own picture and text. Here's one: http://bighugelabs.com/motivator.php

my question is when you're taking the driving test is it awkard? like are you supposed to talk? or will the instructor talk to you or what?
are you allowed to turn on the radio?
ect.
thanks a lot!

Talking really depends on who your instructor is. I've had friends who talked to their instructor the whole time, while others didn't say a word. It really doesn't matter either way. I agree with the saying hello and everything, but your instructor is going to be grading you on your driving, not your communication skills.

As for the radio, I would keep it off. Your instructor will probably be giving you directions, so you'll want to make sure you can hear him or her and won't be distracted.

on AIM some of my friends won't go Idle and they'll be away for a really long time and sometimes even a day. Do you know how I can do that?

I thought it said will go idle. Sorry. I'm pretty sure you can set it as away, and go to settings and there should be something about when to go idle, and you might be able to turn it off there.

Does getting your eyebrows hurt?
i want the truth please (=
ive heard many things about it
and i want expreienced people.
mmkthanks i rate

It all depends on your pain tolerance. I absolutely cannot pluck my eyebrows, and I have several tattoos and piercings. Plucking is just an extremely annoying pain to me. Not that it hurts really bad, it's just so annoying.

For me, waxing is nothing. It does hurt a little, but it's not a bad pain and it's really quick. Afterward they may have a slight throbbing feeling, but it's nothing unbearable. I'm sure you can handle it.

I am going to go buy my first car with the money I've been saving up and my dad insists that I take him with me for a "better" deal. I kept telling him that they're going to give me a fair deal just like they give everybody else REGARDLESS OF GENDER and that I can go alone if I want to. He keeps saying how the salesman will see I'm a woman and will shoot the price up and that I won't know what to look for under the hood or during the test drive. I think I will know if something doesn't sound right or doesn't work though.

Why should I take a man along to a car dealership anyway? I just don't get his point. I think he's making too big of a deal out of this? I don't think they're going to say, "Hey! It's a chick...let's rip her off!" I mean, WHY would they even do something like that?! Doesn't make sense!

A lot of car dealerships will give good deals regardless of gender, but I have been to a few who see a girl alone and try to rip her off because girls usually don't know a whole lot about cars. But, in all honesty, I always take a guy with me to car dealerships for that very reason. They know more about cars than me, so they would spot problems a lot quicker than me. Plus, some car problems aren't immediately noticeable, so it's always nice to take someone who knows something about cars with you.

I'm 16 and I was supposed to get my driving permit. I just realized that I have to get it in literally within the next three days or else I won't get my license on my birthday because you have to have your permit for six months. If I get my permit about a week after than I'm supposed to, how long after will it be until I get my license? Because apparently if you don't get it before the six months you have to wait a looong time. I hope it's not too long :/ Anyone know?

It would help to know what state you live in, because each state has different rules. Where I live, you get your permit, wait 6 months, then get your license. I don't see why they would say you have to get your license on an EXACT day or else you have to wait longer. That doesn't make sense to me. You can call your local courthouse, or the place that does the permits, and ask them, or go and get an instruction book that you study for your test from, and that should tell you all the rules. Or you can do a quick search online (there are usually official .gov sites for each state that talks about the requirements).

Hi,
My question is directed at people who have had a keloid scar and have had it removed in some sort of way.
I have on and it's the size of a dime, on my chest. I would have no problem if it was just a scar (I think they're unique) but this keloid is raised, ALWAYS red & attracts too much attention to my chest. I tried makeup, and steroid injections, neither of the two work.
I'm thinking about doing plastic surgery, but I'm looking for other options, so if you recommend ANYTHING, I'd be grateful. At this point, any ideas would be wonderful.

There are a few things you can do to possibly remove a keloid scar (I have a fairly large one on my upper back from my own stupidity, and I couldn't even get the courage to get the steroid injections). There is a thing called silicone sheeting, or wound dressings with some sort of gel that can help reduce the size of keloids over time. There is also laser and radiation therapy. There where other options, but I can't remember them all. The problem with having surgery to remove a keliod is that there is about a 50% chance that the scar will come back, and possibly bigger than before. Your best bet would be to talk to your doctor about all of the possible options and choose one that works best for you.

is this a tattoo or what?

http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kys6bgXmp81qa2ndbo1_400.jpg

It looks like a tattoo with white ink (like the other person said). It could be a form of branding, and although it would be pretty hard to get it to look that neat, it is possible if you have someone who knows what they're doing.

okay well lately ive been sleeping ALOT and i mean ALOT. ive been super cold where ever i go. ive been like super bipolar lately too like i started crying and in the middle i jus snapped out of it. ive been having numb feelings in my feet and rarely my legs what could this be. my friend keep saying that im pregnant but im on the shot, i know that not 100% effective but idk what could it be ?????? please help! p.s can go to the doctor til next month plus ive been having blury vision sometimes!

This really doesn't sound like pregnancy to me. Things like this can be hard to tell, but if it's affecting your mood & vision, you may need to get to the doctor soon. I know you said you can't go until next month, but you really need to try to get it sooner. It could me something small, but it could be serious, too, & it's best to be safe & not wait when it comes to things like this.

I really want snakebite piercings (the lip peircing on both sides of your bottom lip). The problem is, I'm worried about how much it will hurt. I do have my ears, nose and belly button pierced, so it's not like I'm a piercing virgin. How is the pain compared to getting your nose/belly pierced? Is there anything I can do to make it less painful or maybe even afterwards, like tylenol to help? Also, how do you brush your teeth afterwards, like the bottom? Thanks!

I've had three lip piercings, but I lost the middle one so now I only have snakebites. I've also had my nose pierced before, & I can say that for me, the nose piercing hurt a lot worse than the lip. It really depends on your pain tolerance, but since you have other piercings, you should be able to handle it. I'm not saying it doesn't hurt, though, but it's mainly just a sharp pinching feeling. Afterward, though, it will probably throb a little, & your lip might swell. Don't eat or drink anything with dairy in it for 24 hours after getting it done, like cheese, milk, etc... This will help lower the risk of infection. You don't really need to do anything special while brushing your teeth, & I don't remember ever having a problem with that. Just rinse your mouth out really well afterward. My piercer recommended half water/half antibacterial mouthwash.

Just wanted to add this, too: After getting it pierced, my piercer always says to suck on ice if the stinging is bothering you. I would go to Dairy Queen & get an Arctic rush, though, & let the little ice things sit in my lip for a minute, but that's just me. lol.

I need to paint my room soon, and I wanted to use a stencil with this pattern, or a pattern very similar, so I'm wondering if it has a specific name?

Any help would be appreciated.
And also, if you want to suggest a store, if it's in America, it's no help to me, seeing as I live in Europe. Sorry!

Thanks!

I think the pattern is called Damask. I haven't been able to find a place to buy it in Europe, though, but some online places may have a currency converter, but you may have to pay higher shipping charges.

okay so when I was younger I was overweight. Now, I'm thin. The only problem is..I got stretch marks due to being overweight when I was younger.
my questions are:

do guys care if you have stretch marks? like a boyfriend or something?

and

will they ever go away! ive been using bio oil on them for 2 days so far hoping it works eventually.

I asked this as a public question yesterday..no one answered both questions i had. please help thankyou.

From what I've heard, stretch marks will eventually shrink & lighten in color, but they'll probably never go away. As for treating them, I've heard cocoa butter works, but I've never tried it. There are also products you can buy specifically for stretch marks. If the stretch marks are really bad, you can get a skin peel or laser treatment type thing, but I wouldn't recommend it.

As for guys, all guys are different. Personally, I have a few stretch marks, & none of the guys I've dated had a problem with them. A lot of girls have them, so I don't see it being much of an issue. Besides, if a guy can't handle them, they're probably not a good guy to be with.

Hi,
I've been deciding for the longest time on whether or not to get my tongue pierced. It's not gonna be in the near future, but I'm thinking in a year or two. Can anyone give me any pros or cons to getting it done? Thanks!

There aren't a whole lot of pros to getting a piercing besides the fact that you want one, & it might look cool to some people.

The cons are: The risk of infection, scarring, the tongue ring chipping your teeth, among other things. Personally, I've had seven piercings total before, so you need to decide whether it's worth the risk.

I was watching some episodes on Hulu the other day and saw this commercial come up that I haven't ever seen before. It's of a green screen and it says 2 3 and has an outlet on it. The outlet plug is similing. Under there comes the numbers (in small print)8 11.

So, what is this 230 thing or whatever it is. I mean, I GUESS the plug outlet could be considered a 0 but I'm not 100% sure. What is it all about? A movie coming out? I'm curious hahaha

230
8-11

I'm pretty sure it's a Chevy Volt commercial. At the end, it shows a link for Chevy Volt. This tells a little bit about what it means: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090804210233AA2gNNF

okay..i'm about to turn 16..time to drive.

so me and my mom have two choices for a car..

basically what i want is a nice car..not too pricy..and has alot of room..

we can choose between a chevy cobalt..or a saturn view..

so in your opinion..which one will fit my needs more??

I'd go with the Chevy Cobalt. Like the person below me said, the Saturn is more like an SUV, and while it may be good if you need more room, a lot of people don't recommend first time drivers getting an SUV. They're slightly more top-heavy than cars, so there's a bigger chance of them tipping over or flipping.

okayyy..
so me and my mom both really want an iphone from ATT. and i just have a few questons about them..

1. how much do they cost??
2. is is true that you have to have internet on them for it to work??
3. i've heard that in the long run..they're cheaper than a regular phonee. is that true??

The price depends on what type of phone and what plan you get. You can go to their website or to an AT&T store to get more information on that. I really don't think you have to have the internet on your phone for the phone to work. And in my opinion, they're not cheaper than a regular phone. I pay over double the amount of my regular phone bill monthly (but I have two phones on my plan).
